It has been a long time since this page has been updated. The Lord spoke to us that we need to start reactivating this page starting with verses that speaks to us. We chose this verse because God has shown us this morning during our prayer time that God is in control of everything. He wants us to know that we should not be troubled if we seek Jesus first in our lives. God bless you all NEW LIFE FAMILY!!!

Paul wrote, “We are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord” (2 Cor. 5:8) because in eternity, “time shall be no longer” (Rev. 10:6c). When we enter into the kingdom, did you know that time won’t matter anymore? Isn’t that encouraging? No wonder Paul agonized over being with the believers or being with the Lord, writing, “I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far” (Phil. 1:23). I see his point.

When you fail, run to Him, as He is your refuge. Pray for Him to open a door you think you’re supposed to go through or close the door tight if it’s not best for you. Call on Him truthfully, and He’ll draw close to you because prayer succeeds when all else fails.

There comes a time to let go and let God. What this means is sort of what Peter wrote in 1 Peter 5:7, to cast “all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” That sounds easy enough, but is it really? No. I find it hard to let go of things that I am anxious about, but that is exactly the time to let go because we should “not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Phil. 4:6). There is wisdom in knowing when to let go and then praying to God about it. That release allows us to “not be anxious about anything.”

Wrong Focus

It is so easy to focus on our needs and even our wants, but God doesn’t want us to have our focus on these things, as Jesus said, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes” (Matt. 6:25). “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matt. 6:33). The focus should always be first and foremost on the kingdom and, more specifically, the King of that kingdom. Then God will take care of all these other things.

Cast every anxiety you have on Jesus because it’s far too heavy for us to carry. Take Jesus’ yoke so that you can find rest. Humble yourself. Ask God for His help, and trust in the God Who owns all things.
