The University of Asia and the Pacific annually holds a Eucharistic Procession on campus. This school year's Eucharistic Procession at UA&P will take place on February 6, 2025 (Thursday) at 10:00 a.m.

Everyone is invited to join this year's Eucharistic Procession at UA&P, which will take place on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲). Assembly will be at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Oratory at 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎 𝐚.𝐦.

The theme for this year's procession is "𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚." 🌾🥖✝️ This message is in line with Pope Leo XIV's homily on the Feast of Corpus Christi (June 22, 2025): "Together, as shepherds and flock, we will feed on the 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙢 and 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙨. In doing so, we will present him before the eyes, the consciences and the hearts of the people. To the hearts of those who believe, so that they may believe more firmly; to the hearts of those who do not believe, so that they may reflect on the 𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙛𝙮 𝙞𝙩."

Preparation of the floral carpets for the procession will be done on February 4, 2026 (Wednesday), from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. around the UA&P campus. We hope for the active participation of the University community.

In addition, we humbly appeal to the community's generosity to help fund expenses related to the Eucharistic Procession 2026, such as the flowers to be used for the floral carpets and station altars. The theme for this year's procession is "𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐨𝐲𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫." ✝️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ Here is a brief explanation from the UA&P Chaplaincy on the theme:

The theme of Jubilee 2025 is an appropriate starting point: 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞. 'The Apostle Paul encourages us to '𝙧𝙚𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚, 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧' (Rom 12:12). Surely we need to 'abound in hope' (cf. Rom 15:13), so that we may bear credible and attractive witness to the faith and love that dwell in our hearts; 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙗𝙚 𝙟𝙤𝙮𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘; and that each of us may be able to offer a smile, a small gesture of friendship, a kind look, a ready ear, a good deed." (Pope Francis, Spes non confundit, Bull of Indiction of the Ordinary Jubilee Year of 2025, no. 18)

Everyone is invited to this year's Eucharistic Procession at UA&P, which will be held tomorrow, February 1, 2024 (Thursday). The theme for this year is "Listening to God and others."

Assembly will be at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Oratory at 10:00 am. The procession, which will be presided over by Rev. Fr. Orlando B. Cantillon, Vicar General of the Diocese of Pasig, will start at 10:30 am and will culminate with the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 12:05 pm.

"Pope Francis said that 'a synodal Church is a listening Church'. 'Listening, in communication, is an openness of heart which makes possible that closeness without which genuine spiritual encounter cannot occur. Listening helps us to find the right gesture and word which shows that we are more than simply bystanders.' (Evangelii Gaudium, 171)

We will encounter Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament around the campus in a Eucharistic Procession. Let us listen to what Jesus wants to tell us and what he asks of us. May we not be simple bystanders. Listening to Our Lord will help us listen to others. We can then become other Christs walking beside others and accompanying them to respond to God's love."

Everyone is invited to this year's Eucharistic Procession at UA&P, which will be held on January 26, 2023 (Thursday). Assembly will be at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Oratory at 10:00 a.m. The procession, which will be presided over by His Excellency Archbishop Charles Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, will start at 10:30 a.m. and will culminate with the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 12:05 p.m.

The entrance gate at Pearl Drive will be closed to vehicles between 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to give way to the procession. Classes will be suspended for the duration of the event (10 a.m. - 12 nn.).

𝕌𝔸&ℙ 𝔼𝕦𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕚𝕔 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕔𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟 🤝 𝕊𝕪𝕟𝕠𝕕 𝕠𝕟 𝕊𝕪𝕟𝕠𝕕𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪

Read on for a brief explanation from the UA&P Chaplaincy on this year's Eucharistic Procession theme and its connection to the Synod on Synodality:

"In the coming Synod in October this year, the Church wants not just to talk about synodality but to put it into practice from now onwards. Fundamentally, synodality is about journeying together. This happens through listening to one another to hear what God is saying to all of us. It is realizing that the Holy Spirit can speak through anyone to help us walk forward together on our journey as God’s People.

The Sacrament of the Eucharist is a sign and cause of the unity of the Church because it stirs up an active ecclesial spirit in those who are more fervent in their Eucharistic devotion. In holding this yearly tradition in UA&P with the synod’s theme in mind, our Eucharistic Procession takes upon itself the invitation that we walk together with Jesus Christ around our campus as the People of God on pilgrimage amid the world. Our Eucharistic Procession should illustrate to us that synodality as we walk together with Jesus around this campus that we frequent each day.

As we bring the Lord into the corridors and pathways of our school, we want to cultivate the disposition and desire to go with Him always. So that at God’s pace, we develop within ourselves the desire for communion and active participation to carry out our common mission. The 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, commonly referred to as the Synod on Synodality, is an upcoming synod of bishops of the Catholic Church that will take place in October 2023 and has as its theme "For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission."

Meanwhile, our theme for the UA&P Eucharistic Procession 2023 is "Towards UNITAS: a spirit of collaboration and openness."
