Bearers of the Holy Cross

Bearers of the Holy Cross The Bearers of the Holy Cross is a fraternity of Diocesan Priests and Seminarians founded by Rev. Fr. Hernandez P. Mendoza on December 13, 2015. Father Hernan

The Bearers of the Holy Cross was founded on December 13, 2015 by the inspiration received by the Reverend Father Hernandez P. Mendoza for a special spirituality and mission for Diocesans. He believes that Diocesan priests and seminarians should serve the Poor as a way of embracing the Cross of Christ in concrete. Obedience to the Local Ordinary, loving whatever assignments given by the Bishop, ha

ving special heart for the poor and fraternity among brother seminarians and priests are expressions of carrying and embracing the Cross of Christ. Our fraternal joy is rooted in our three principles of Fraternity, Spirituality and Solidarity. we have now more than 5 priests and 80 seminarians for the period of one year since the foundation and humble beginning of our community. "the home of the poor is in the heart of God."

My Advice: Sabi nila bakit masaya ka Pads? Kasi feel ko raming nagmamahal sa akin! Anhin mo man yang pera, power at influence kung mamatay ka walang makaalala sa iyo! Kaya siguro kahit di tayo banal mahalaga may legacy tayo!

EyMen!

My Advice: Hala ka grabe pala ang exhortations ni San Ignacio de Loyola sa Simbahan at para daw ito sa mga Seminarians, Bishops at mga Pari magserve daw kayo sa mga Poor at yan din sabi ni San Alphonsus Ma de Liguori to give priority for the poor and abandoned 😍Just saying po okay lang yan makasalanan at di tayo karapatdapat tayo pero makasalanan na nga tapos di pa tayo magserve sa poor mas matindi na yan kasalanan against our vocation and ministry na yan πŸ™πŸΌ

My Advice: Very sad to hear that tragic bombing in Mindanao during the celebration of the Mass but for sure those who died received the CROWN of MARTYRDOM in HEAVEN with our LORD JESUS CHRIST. They are true witnesses of our FAITH πŸ™πŸΌ

Happy Fiesta to our dear members of the BEARERS OF THE HOLY CROSS. Even though, our community is not that active anymore but I am so happy that we produced already more than 30 priests and more than 100 seminarians from different Dioceses. Our goal is very simple - that is to CARRY the CROSS of CHRIST by serving and giving preference for the POOR (the ANAWIM) as Diocesans. Because of the very strict laws pertaining to private and public associations of the faithful, we continue anyway to live in our simple way of serving the Poor, the neglected and destitute people in our Parishes and communities as Diocesans. Our Brotherhood is just a supplement to our works and spirituality as Diocesans. Finally, most of our members now are absorbed by this new community, not a religious in the strict sense called the SONS OF FR HERNAN. This is intended for lay, professionals and still young clergy but not under any Church and religious organization. Thanks be to God! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈ

FEATURING: THE HARDWORKING PARISH PRIEST OF STA. MARTHA PARISH, FR. HERNAN!

Who would have thought that the one in the picture washing the dishes is a priest?

Fr. Hernandez P. Mendoza Jr., the parish priest of Sta. Martha Parish has inspired his followers by sharing a candid photo of him doing household chores: cleaning, cooking, washing the dishes and the like.

What makes this very inspiring is the fact that he is the busy parish priest behind the high tech Sta. Martha parish that recently released its ID system for its parishioners for an easy contact tracing.

On his Facebook post, the hardworking priest said to his followers that doing household chores should not end after finishing the seminary formation but should still continue even up to priesthood.

"Sino nagsabi pag Parish Priest hindi ka na magtrabaho? Ayan ako naglilinis sa kwarto at CR ko sometimes ako naghuhugas at nagluluto na din! Hindi ibig sabihin pagtapos ka na seminary tapos na gawain mo. Remember sabi ni Saint Benedict, β€œOra et Labora” Manual Work and Prayers!"

May he serve as an inspiration to all of us, especially to all our priest-to-be followers; may we also be reminded that priesthood is not a status, but a calling to follow Jesus.
