San Antonio Abad Parish- Maybunga, Pasig City In January 1572, the Augustinians led by Fr. Alonzo de Alvarado sailed down the Pasig River with the encomendero Juan de la Isla. Fr. Loreto Sanchez, Jr.

They reached Maybunga on January 17, the feast of San Antonio Abad, placing him as its titular. Maybunga was then an independent community with its own group of lakans and maginoos. It is likely that this community was the settlement established by Dayang Kalangitan and G*t Lontok, centuries before the Spanish arrived. โ€“ Three days later, the Spaniards moved on from Maybunga to the center of ancie

Noong Hulyo 19, 2026, matagumpay na ginanap ang Solemn Rite of Vesting ng ating mga Altar Servers. Alinsunod ito sa Circular 2025-094, ang Pastoral Instruction on Liturgical Vesture, na inilabas ng Commission on Liturgy.

Isa itong mahalagang hakbang sa kanilang patuloy na paglago at paglilingkod sa ating Diyos at sa Kanyang Simbahan. Sa mga Lingkod-Altar, ang inyong pagiging bukas sa paglilingkod ay grasya ng Diyos.

Lubos kaming nagpapasalamat sa aming Kura Paroko, Fr. John Albert Absalon, sa Parish Pastoral Council, sa aming mga magulang, at sa lahat ng nakiisa at sumuporta upang maging maayos at makabuluhan ang pagdiriwang na ito.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ito sa bawat Lingkod-Altar na patuloy na maglilingkod nang may kababaang-loob, katapatan, at pagmamahal sa Diyos. Patuloy nating isabuhay ang diwa ng paglilingkod, hindi lamang sa ating kasuotan, kundi higit sa lahat, sa ating puso at mga gawa.

Forming Young Hearts Through Godโ€™s Word

Last June 27, 2026, San Antonio Abad Parish successfully held the SAAP Youth Bible Quiz 2026, a collaborative initiative of the Biblical Apostolate, Parish Youth Council, and Education Ministry.

Following the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist, nine teams from five youth ministries competed in an exciting Bible Quiz that challenged their knowledge of Sacred Scripture while fostering faith, fellowship, and love for Godโ€™s Word.
