Devotional for today...

FAITHFUL TO THE END
2 Timothy 4:7 - “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Reflection
The Apostle Paul wrote these words knowing his life on earth was nearly over. They are not a boast of strength, but a testimony of grace.

Fought the good fight – This was never about winning against people, but standing firm in truth, love, and godliness even when it was hard, unpopular, or painful.

Finished the race – Faithfulness is not measured by how fast we run or how far we get ahead of others, but by simply keeping step with God every single day—especially when we are tired or discouraged.

Kept the faith – This is the greatest victory of all: holding onto Jesus, not because we are perfect, but because He is faithful, and He is worth trusting for a lifetime.

Paul’s words remind us that a life that matters is not one without struggles, but one that stays true to the Lord until the very end.

Thought for the Day
“It is not how we start that counts, but how we finish. And we do not finish by our own strength—we finish by leaning on the One who runs beside us.”

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You that You have called us to a life that is good and secure in You. When I grow weary, remind me that You are my strength. When I am unsure, help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. Let me live each day faithfully, so that one day I too may say with joy: I have kept the faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
