On August 1, 2026, the Ministry of Altar Servers held its Aspirants’ Orientation at 3:00 PM at San Joaquin Chapel, led by Bro. John Dave Ariola, Coordinator of SGP-MAS. The event gathered both Aspirants and Installed Servers for a meaningful and productive formation.

The orientation began with an opening prayer led by Bro. Iñigo Glhen Abelardo. The first agenda item was the introduction of the eight Core Officers of the Ministry, highlighting their duties, roles, and responsibilities. This was followed by a discussion on Basic Etiquette, emphasizing respect, reverence, and discipline within the ministry and the church.

The speaker then presented the Organizational Structure of the ministry, explaining the roles of Members, Aspirants, Installed Servers, and Seasoned Servers. Another important topic discussed was Roles and Responsibilities, which reminded the aspirants of the commitment and dedication required in serving God.

Bro. John Dave also presented the Training Schedules for Aspirants and Installed Servers and reminded everyone about the upcoming formations and activities for the Month of Altar Servers. The orientation ended with a closing prayer, followed by free pancakes from the San Joaquin Chapel Council as refreshments.

Memorial of St. Dominic, Priest
August 8

Today, we honor St. Dominic, priest and founder of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans), whose life was devoted to proclaiming the truth of the Gospel through preaching, study, prayer, and charity. Recognizing the need to defend the faith against error, he founded an order dedicated to preaching with both conviction and holiness.

St. Dominic understood that authentic preaching flows from a deep relationship with God. His commitment to Sacred Scripture, sound doctrine, and a life of prayer continues to inspire the Church’s mission of evangelization. His sons and daughters in the Dominican Family have enriched the Church through their faithful witness, theological scholarship, and service to God’s people.

As we celebrate his memorial, may we imitate his love for Christ and His Church, seek the truth with humility, and courageously proclaim the Gospel in both word and example.

Buong puso at may malaking pasasalamat na nakikiisa ang 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒍𝒕𝒂𝒓 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔 – 𝑺𝒂𝒏 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒐 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉 sa pagdiriwang ng Altar Servers Month 2026 ngayong buwan ng Agosto.

Sa bawat paghawak ng kandila, pagdala ng krus, paghahanda sa altar, at tapat na paglilingkod sa Banal na Misa, ipinapakita natin na ang pagiging altar server ay hindi lamang isang tungkulin—ito ay isang bokasyon ng pagmamahal, pananampalataya, at paglilingkod sa Diyos at sa Simbahan.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang buwang ito upang mas marami pang kabataan ang tumugon sa tawag ng Panginoon at patuloy nating pag-alabin ang apoy ng ating pananampalataya sa pamamagitan ng mapagpakumbaba at masayang paglilingkod.

Today, we honor St. Ignatius of Loyola, priest, founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), and one of the Church’s greatest spiritual masters. Through his profound conversion, he taught that true freedom is found in seeking and doing the will of God in all things.

May his example inspire us to grow in prayer, deepen our discernment, and live each day with the desire to serve “for the greater glory of God” (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam).

Today, we honor Saints Joachim and Anne, the faithful parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the beloved grandparents of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through their loving guidance and steadfast faith, they helped prepare Mary to embrace God’s plan of salvation.

As patrons of parents, grandparents, and families, may their example inspire us to nurture faith within our homes, pass on the values of the Gospel to future generations, and trust always in God’s providence.

There will be a Mass presided by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Edmond Reynaldo at San Joaquin Chapel, 7:30AM and will be followed by a procession.

Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for our families.
