IN LOVING MEMORY OF REV. DANTE U. ARAGON, 80
(District of Mt. Apo)

CAMACOP, led by Executive Bishop Eduardo C. Cajes, recognizes with profound appreciation the faithful service and commitment of Rev. Dante U. Aragon to God’s ministry. Heartfelt sympathies and prayers are extended to the bereaved family and loved ones.

A church planter and pastor by heart, taking after his father— the late Rev. Julio D. Aragon— Rev. Dante U. Aragon devoted more than 30 years of his life to God’s ministry. He passed on to glory on the night of Thursday, June 15, after succumbing to cardiac arrest. He left behind his equally committed wife Luz and children Brenda, and Ferdie. His younger son Jufel had predeceased him. Their grandchild, Katleya Abios (daughter of Brenda), has been taking care of the couple for years.

Pastor Dante was the third in a brood of six. He was the older brother of CAMACOP National Executive Minister Dr. Averell U. Aragon. Pastor Dante’s demise came 11 days after their older sister Elizabeth Aragon - Araral was buried on June 4.

Even before graduating from Mount Apo Alliance Bible College (MAABC) in 1973, Pastor Dante had already been ministering at Barayong Alliance Church in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur. The same church became his last ministry assignment before he retired in 2000 and went back to Digos, Davao del Sur, which became his homeplace.

Among his other ministries, Pastor Dante served as Senior Pastor at Digos Alliance Church for six years (1979-1985) and later did pioneering work/church planting in Abra (Bangued), Bicol, and Diwalwal. Even when he was already retired, he continued to preach the Word when given the opportunity, and perform other pastoral tasks at his home church.

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die… ‘“- John 11:25

P.S. Pastor Dante’s body lies in honor at St. Peter Chapel along Aurora Extension in Digos City.

It was a refreshing and uplifting celebration of God’s awesome power and faithfulness that brought together close to
7,000 CAMACOP people for the Araw ng MDD (Metro Davao District) today, June 12.

Led by MDD District Ministry Supervisor Rev. Felipe Cajes, Jr. assisted by the District Ministry Team, the jampacked-beachside celebration program also included the baptism of scores of new believers administered by Rev. Arthur Joseph, with Rev. Pablito Cajes, Jr. and Rev. Felipe Onggona. Rev. Bert Labawan later led the Holy Communion.

Dr. Averell Aragon, CAMACOP National Executive Minister for Education, posed a challenge based on 1 Corinthians 15:58: “Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Praise God for the resounding success of the 44th Araw ng MDD!

IN LOVING MEMORY OF
LM ELIZABETH ARAGON - ARARAL, 85
(South Mindanao District)

CAMACOP, led by Executive Bishop Eduardo C. Cajes, recognizes the faithful service of retired Lady Minister Elizabeth “Beth” Aragon- Araral and salutes her for dedicating her life to God’s ministry for over 50 years.

CAMACOP likewise extends heartfelt sympathies to the Araral and Aragon families, and offers prayers to God for comfort and provision for her bereaved loved ones.

Pastora Elizabeth “Beth” is the eldest child of the late Rev. Julio and Sotera Aragon, and sister of CAMACOP National Executive Minister for Education Dr. Averell U. Aragon. Her husband, Rev. Tranquilino A. Araral, Jr., passed on earlier.

South Mindanao District Ministry Supervisor Rev. Richie Empleo shared the information from the Araral household that Pastora Beth passed on to glory yesterday, May 30, 2023, after old age seriously weakened her frail body. She is survived by her four children: Tranquilino the 3rd, Darlene Araral Ronquillo, Stanley Don, and Milestone Dave.

Pastora Beth was a product of Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary in the early 60s. She was in full support of her husband Pastor Jun Araral when he served in various ministries including: managing the Philippine Bible Society-Mindanao Christian Literature in Davao City, holding the positions of CAMACOP Vice President and Head of the Education Division, supervising the South Mindanao District, and ministering at the Capital Alliance Church in Koronadal, South Cotabato, where Pastora Beth taught at the church school for a long while.

Pastora Beth was known for quietly, diligently and prayerfully doing her roles as pastor’s wife, mother, and teacher.

“If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” - Romans 14:8

P.S.
Pastora Beth’s remains lie in honor at Renaissance Chapels along Arellano St., Koronadal City.

MORE SOULS SEE THE LIGHT AT “ARAW NG NEMD”

God’s grace was obviously at work among His people as the North Eastern Mindanao District (NEMD), headed by DMS Rev. Felix M. Beloy, Jr. , today held its district-wide fellowship at a resort in Mabini, Davao de Oro, with the aptly worded theme, “Jesus: You Are My All In All” and attended by over two thousand members and guests.

A sizable number of people responded to God’s Word when Guest Speaker Dr. Averell U. Aragon, CAMACOP National Executive Minister for Education, made an “altar call” after giving a message about “Freedom in Jesus”.

“That’s the reason why you preached (an) evangelistic message (because) God prepared (the) people to hear the Gospel,” commented Mr. Jun Caluban, NBOT and DMT member, and an active participant in the life of the district.

Worship topped the day’s program, which also included mass baptism, DMS’ report, awarding of top-notchers in giving, welcoming of new workers, and lunch fellowship.

Glory to God!
