As we reflect on God’s Plan of Salvation, we are reminded that our story with Him did not begin when we first believed—it began even before the foundation of the world. In love, God chose us and predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will (Ephesians 1:4–5). This shows us that our salvation was never random, nor earned, but part of His eternal and sovereign plan.
And in time, that plan was revealed to us through the gospel. When we heard it and believed in Christ, we were not left uncertain of our standing before God. Instead, we were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, a mark that we belong to Him. The Spirit is not only a sign, but also the guarantee of our inheritance—a sure promise that what God has started, He will faithfully bring to completion.
This truth speaks deeply into how we live today. We are not walking aimlessly, nor are we striving to secure our place in God’s kingdom. We live as those who are already chosen, already redeemed, and already sealed. Our lives now become a response—walking in faith, holiness, and obedience—not to earn salvation, but because we are assured of it.
