๐ŸŒ„ EASTER SUNDAY Reflection ๐ŸŒ„

Hopelessness pollutes our life. So many streams flow into the sea of our despair.

It gets easier and easier to paint a grim picture of a pointless life ending in disastrous faith. But the darker the night, the more significant is the torch.

OUR TORCH IS THE RISEN CHRIST.

This Easter, as perhaps never before, Christโ€™s message is vital for the people of our time. It is vital because it is life giving. It is a message of hope highlighting that the God who made the world and its people has both safely in his hands and his helping is nearer than the air we breathe.

He is living in our hearts and in our relationships. He has taken on our human condition even unto death. Rising from the dead, he has changed utterly the meaning of our lives.

๐Ÿ–ค BLACK SATURDAY Reflection ๐Ÿ–ค

Today is a day of silence a day of waiting, a day of trusting.

We remember how Christ trusted in the promise of God, His Father, following His will into death on the Cross, then into the grave.

We know we will celebrate His glorious Resurrection and the fulfillment of Godโ€™s promise tomorrow.

But today, in silence and waiting, are you also entrusting everything - your needs, wants, joys, failures, hopes, and even sins - to God?

๐Ÿค GOOD FRIDAY Reflection ๐Ÿค

Believers gather around the cross today. They listen to the stories from the Scriptures. These stories offer us a message that is new:

Suffering acquires meaning in God.

Death never has the last word in Him. Through the suffering of Christ, God brings reconciliation for all. This gives many the strength to endure suffering, even today, and to look for a world where every tear will be dried and all the pain will have disappeared.

Good Friday shows that people without hope die in despair. A society or world without hope degenerates into humiliation, indifference, fear and violence.

No matter how grim the suffering or bleak the future seems, the Father has a great dream for us which he will realise just as he did for his Son.

Todayโ€™s message is not to be afraid:
I have overcome the world, and so can you.

๐Ÿฅ€ MAUNDY THURSDAY Reflection ๐Ÿฅ€

Jesus knows Judas will betray him and that, in the coming hours, each one of his closest friends will fail him.Even then, Jesus is not surprised when Peter first refuses to have his feet washed. Peter is bewildered, unprepared to receive this generous act of love.

The grace of Holy Thursday is knowing that God embraces us despite our weaknesses and imperfections.

On this first day of the Triduum, we recognize Godโ€™s unfailing gift of undeserved, unconditional, and unifying love for us. This love has the power to embolden every human heart and calls us to do the same. Let us ask for the grace to respond to Godโ€™s call to love one another accordingly.

๐Ÿ HOLY WEDNESDAY Reflection ๐Ÿ

All the love we have ever received, or can ever give, has been freely given by the one man who makes all things new.

This Holy Week, no matter where you are, or how your are, I pray that you personally feel the embrace of the Lord who loves you so much.

๐ŸŒฑ HOLY TUESDAY Reflection ๐ŸŒฑ

How do we deal with suffering, pain, and not getting what we want?

Do we harden our hearts in anger, anxiety, and resentment?

Or, do we take it as an opportunity to humble ourselves, and surrender to the Lord our needs?

๐ŸŒ… HOLY MONDAY Reflection ๐ŸŒ…

How you start your day prepares you for the next 24 hours ahead.

Begin with a grateful heart ๐Ÿงก

Take the time for silence in between parts of the day. This brings us back and closer to the Lord.

๐ŸŒฟ PALM SUNDAY Reflection ๐ŸŒฟ

Today, Jesusโ€™ disciples welcomed Christ the King. They carried olive branches and loudly praised the Lord: Hosanna in the highest!

And yet, in six days, the crowd would yell โ€œCrucify him!โ€

By our words and actions, are we praising Jesus or crucifying him?
