Young Women Anniversary Activity
Theme: “Confidently Modest, Wisely Prepared” 💕
PASAY CITY - - - Young Women recently held a meaningful and enjoyable anniversary activity last Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Russel Chapel, which centered on modesty, self-reliance, and wise preparation for the future.
We were grateful to hear from Sister Nana Borela from Pasay 5th Ward, who shared an inspiring message about modesty and how living gospel standards brings confidence, respect, and spiritual blessings. Following her message, the young women participated in a creative challenge where each group designed a “temple gown” using tissue rolls, allowing them to apply the principles they learned while showcasing creativity and teamwork.
We were also blessed to hear from Sister Maura Generoso from Manila 2nd Ward, who taught about self-reliance, budgeting, and financial stewardship. She shared practical principles on managing expenses and using talents and skills wisely.
As part of the activity, the young women participated in a budgeting and food preparation challenge. Each group was assigned a product to prepare, including gulaman drink, iced Milo (chocolate drink), pizza bread, mini pancakes, graham balls, and egg sandwiches. They were given a budget, tracked their expenses, and computed possible selling prices and income. Through this, they developed practical skills that may assist them in generating funds in preparation for the upcoming Youth Camp this October.
Towards the end of the program, our Stake President, President Ronnie Ryan Cabarles, gave his closing remarks, reminding the young women of the valuable lessons they had learned throughout the activity and the significance of celebrating the Young Women anniversary.
We express our sincere gratitude to the young women, leaders, parents, and everyone who attended and supported the activity. We are also thankful to our resource speakers and all who contributed to the success of this memorable Young Women anniversary celebration.
