Last Sunday, May 24, 2026, the Pasay Stake held a Young Women Leadership Training: Preparing for 30-Minute Classes at the Donada Chapel.

The training focused on the recent updates regarding the changes in Young Women classes in preparation for the September implementation. Topics discussed included the use of the For the Strength of Youth Guide, the new curriculum, and the updated class names according to age groups. Ward Young Women leaders attended the training to better understand and prepare for these inspired adjustments.

Towards the conclusion of the training, Brother Ed Baldoviso from the Stake High Council emphasized he importance of the training and expresses gratitude for the women of the Church as they continue to magnify their sacred callings in strengthening the rising generation.

We also express our appreciation to all the Young Women leaders who attended and participated in the training.

Stake Youth Dance Workshop
April 25, 2026

MANILA --- The Pasay Philippines Stake Youth gathered at the San Marcelino Chapel last April 25,2026 for a Street Dance Workshop in preparation for the upcoming Youth Street Dance this July.

The activity was full of energy, fun, and confidence as the youth were encouraged to move, groove, and express themselves. Youth showcased their talent in dancing. Some of them were just shy to show it at first. It was nice to see everyone participate, even those who are not really into music or dancing. As the workshop went on, everyone eventually enjoyed dancing to the beat and just having fun together.

We express our gratitude to Patricia Manongdo from Pasay 1st Ward as the guest mentor and dance instructor. She is currently studying Legal Studies and Sustainable Development at De La Salle University, and is a trainee under the La Salle Dance Company Street. Aside from teaching choreography and dance techniques, she also shared the background and culture of street dance. More importantly, she taught the youth how street dance can still be aligned with Church standards through appropriate music, appropriate dance movements, and modest clothing.

The workshop became more than just learning dance steps. It became an opportunity for the youth to build confidence, discover talents, express themselves, and strengthen friendships in a fun and uplifting environment.

Thank you to all the youth, leaders, parents, and everyone who participated and supported this activity. We are excited to see our youth continue to shine as they prepare for the upcoming Street Dance this July!

Young Women Anniversary Activity
Theme: “Confidently Modest, Wisely Prepared” 💕

PASAY CITY - - - Young Women recently held a meaningful and enjoyable anniversary activity last Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Russel Chapel, which centered on modesty, self-reliance, and wise preparation for the future.

We were grateful to hear from Sister Nana Borela from Pasay 5th Ward, who shared an inspiring message about modesty and how living gospel standards brings confidence, respect, and spiritual blessings. Following her message, the young women participated in a creative challenge where each group designed a “temple gown” using tissue rolls, allowing them to apply the principles they learned while showcasing creativity and teamwork.

We were also blessed to hear from Sister Maura Generoso from Manila 2nd Ward, who taught about self-reliance, budgeting, and financial stewardship. She shared practical principles on managing expenses and using talents and skills wisely.

As part of the activity, the young women participated in a budgeting and food preparation challenge. Each group was assigned a product to prepare, including gulaman drink, iced Milo (chocolate drink), pizza bread, mini pancakes, graham balls, and egg sandwiches. They were given a budget, tracked their expenses, and computed possible selling prices and income. Through this, they developed practical skills that may assist them in generating funds in preparation for the upcoming Youth Camp this October.

Towards the end of the program, our Stake President, President Ronnie Ryan Cabarles, gave his closing remarks, reminding the young women of the valuable lessons they had learned throughout the activity and the significance of celebrating the Young Women anniversary.

We express our sincere gratitude to the young women, leaders, parents, and everyone who attended and supported the activity. We are also thankful to our resource speakers and all who contributed to the success of this memorable Young Women anniversary celebration.

MANILA - - Young men of Pasay Stake joyfully marked the Young Men Anniversary yesterday, May 16, 2026, at San Marcelino Chapel with hands-on life skills that build both character and confidence.

From learning basic carpentry skills such as building a sturdy stool, to developing electrical skills exemplified in wiring an extension cord, to confidently creating a talk, and even preparing a simple vegetable salad —these activities remind us that learning practical skills is just as important as spiritual growth.

We commend these young men for embracing teamwork, creativity, and self-reliance. We also extend our gratitude to the resource persons who generously shared their expertise and knowledge - - Bro. Eduardo Baldoviso, Bro. Joseph Generoso, Bro. Larry Caduada and Bro. Leonardo Gajultos.

Kim Humphrey Rumpon, Pasay Stake Young Men President, concluded the activity with his closing remarks. He stressed that the "Priesthood is entrusted to [men] by God for us to govern His church." He also emphasized the importance of attending activities such as these because "the skills the resource persons have taught will help us magnify our callings as priesthood holders not only in the Church but also at home, and apply even in the future when [they] have their own families."

Truly, they are preparing not just for today, but for a lifetime of service and leadership.

2026 Stake Plan Highlight: Make and Keep Temple Covenants

Our focus is to guide everyone—especially our new converts—toward the blessings of the priesthood and their first temple experience. As we discover our ancestors and gather them on both sides of the veil, we connect our families through eternal ordinances.

"The reward for keeping covenants with God is heavenly power—power that strengthens us to withstand our trials, temptations, and heartaches better." —President Russell M. Nelson (April 2022 General Conference)
