Last Saturday, August 22, 2026, the SJN-P Ministry of Altar Servers gathered for a meaningful formation entitled “Understanding the Liturgy: Understanding Liturgical Colors, the Ordo, and Liturgical Texts.”

The formation was led by Rev. Fr. Charryey Beltran, who shared valuable insights that helped our altar servers better understand the different elements of the Sacred Liturgy. Through the discussion and activities, our servers learned more about the meaning of liturgical colors, the importance of the Ordo, and how liturgical texts guide us in faithfully serving at the altar.

More than simply learning about the different parts of the liturgy, the formation reminded us that serving at the altar requires understanding, attentiveness, reverence, and a sincere heart. It was also a wonderful opportunity for our servers to learn together, participate in activities, and grow closer as one ministry.

May our altar servers continue to deepen their understanding of the Liturgy and serve with greater reverence, dedication, and love for God and His Church.

“Let all things be done decently and in order.”
— 1 Corinthians 14:40

Last Saturday, August 15, 2026, the SJN-P Ministry of Altar Servers gathered for a meaningful Formation Workshop entitled “The Altar Server’s Way: Mastering Decorum, Character, and Service at the Altar.”

The formation focused on the importance of proper decorum, faithful service, and good character in the ministry. The talk was led by Mr. Kenjie G. Eneran, who shared valuable insights and reminders on the responsibilities, discipline, and reverence expected of every altar server.

More than learning the duties at the altar, the formation reminded our servers that their ministry is a call to serve God with humility, dedication, and love. It was also a wonderful opportunity to learn, reflect, and grow together as one ministry.

May our altar servers continue to serve with faithful hearts and remain committed to growing in faith and character, both at the altar and in their daily lives.

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
— Matthew 20:26

Yesterday, the Ministry of Altar Servers of San Juan Nepomuceno Parish proudly participated in the Basic Formation for Altar Servers held at Sta. Clara de Montefalco Parish for the opening of the Altar Servers Month.

This meaningful gathering provided an opportunity for our servers to deepen their understanding of the sacred ministry they have embraced, strengthen their faith, and grow in fellowship with fellow altar servers from different parishes. As we begin the Altar Servers Month, may this formation inspire us to serve with greater humility, reverence, and love for Christ and His Church.

May St. John Nepomucene and St. Clare of Montefalco continue to guide us as we faithfully answer God's call to serve at His altar.

"Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your will."
– Psalm 40:8

PARA SA DIYOS, PARA SA TAO, PARA SA BAYAN!

A huge congratulations to our very own, 𝐒𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬, for graduating 𝐂𝐮𝐦 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐞 with a 𝐁𝐒 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 from the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 - 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐨!

Long before he ever wore the Sablay, we already saw how dedicated Sebastian is. We know how heavy the workload for UP Biology can get, but he still made time to be a formator in our ministry just patiently teaching, guiding, and being present just for the younger kids.

Your whole church family is so incredibly proud of you, Sebastian. It wasn't easy balancing school and your service, but your faith and hard work brought you here. We're so grateful for everything you've given to this ministry, and we're excited to see where God takes you next. We’ll always be here cheering you on!

𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧, 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧!
