Sunday Worship Service (07/9/2023)

Praise the Lord for our Sunday service yesterday that we enjoyed the fellowship and of course the word of God!

Ptr. Arnold preached about “The parable of the sower” in the book of Matthew 13: 1-23. he explained to us the meaning of the seed scattered in different soils:

1. Seed that fell on the path
- The Seed that fell on the path is like God’s Word that falls on deaf ears – either because it isn’t understood or there is no effort to understand. The message never gets absorbed before it’s snatched away by the evil one.

2. Seed that fell on the rocky ground
- It represents the person who hears and is initially enthusiastic. But their interest is as shallow as the thin soil among the rocks, and their enthusiasm dries up.

3. Seed that fell among thorns
- The person whose heart is like the thorny soil hears the words of Jesus, but other things choke it out of their lives, maybe jobs, trials, and even relationships. These things crowd the message of Jesus out of their hearts.

4. Seed that fell on good soil
- The seed sown into good soil grows well and produces a plentiful crop. the good soil gives the seed exactly what it needs to put down deep roots and grow into a healthy, productive plant.

Lesson of the parable:
Jesus wanted to impress the importance of the state of our hearts when we read, hear, and study His Word. We decide what kind of soil we have. Keep our heart soil rich by taking in the nutrients of Gods love and care. If the word of God remains in a healthy deep roots it help us make better choices and guide our actions to reflect Jesus.

Ptr ended his preaching with an encouragement, to evaluate and check our heart before the Lord!
What is your condition of your heart soil? From time to time, we may all grow and bear much fruit.

Stay connected to God!

Glory to God for this Sunday morning🙌

Ptr arnold preached about “Genuine Happiness and blessedness“ in the book of Luke 6:37-38 with the ff points:

1. Be gentle
2. Be gracious
3. Be generous

Ptr challenged us to renew our mind through God’s grace so that it does not judge or condemn others, but instead only thinks thoughts of love and kindness. Be merciful as God is Merciful.

Conclusion:
we disciples are commanded to first deal with our own sins, including our judgments, Then we can have an attitude of love and forgiveness for others who are struggling. An attitude of forgiveness and generosity toward others is an essential mark of one who has been forgiven.

To God be the highest Honor and Glory🙌
