Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me, and whoever sees me sees the one who sent me. I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness.”

Sinasabi ng ating pananampalataya na hindi na natin kailangang maghintay pa sa Langit para makita ang Diyos, dahil makikita natin Siya ngayon mismo sa pamamagitan ni Hesus. Kahit ordinaryong tinapay at alak lang ang ating nakikita sa Banal na Komunyon, tinutulungan tayo ng ating paniniwala na maramdaman ang Diyos dito, pati na rin sa paggawa ng mabuti sa kapwa at pagdarasal. Ang ating pananampalataya ang nagsisilbing liwanag para mapansin natin ang presensya ng Diyos araw-araw at maihanda ang ating mga puso na makita Siya nang harapan balang araw.

Sinusubukan mo bang pansinin ang presensya ng Diyos sa mga simpleng bagay araw-araw?

Jesus said: “I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. A hired man, who is not a shepherd and whose sheep are not his own, sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf catches and scatters them. This is because he works for pay and has no concern for the sheep.”

John 10:11–13

Si Jesus ang Mabuting Pastol na tunay na nagmamahal at nag-aalaga sa Kanyang mga tao, kahit ibinigay pa Niya ang Kanyang buhay para sa kanila. Hindi Siya tulad ng iba na tumatakas kapag may hirap, kundi nananatili at nagpoprotekta sa atin. Bilang Kanyang mga tagasunod, tinatawag din tayong magmahal at maglingkod sa iba kahit mahirap. Sa araw-araw, maipapakita natin ito sa kabutihan, pagtitiis, at paggawa ng tama.

Handa ba tayong magbigay ng ating sarili para sa iba kahit hindi madali?

Jesus said to the crowds, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. But I told you that although you have seen me, you do not believe.”

Itinuro ni Jesus na Siya ang tunay na nagbibigay-buhay, at iba-iba ang naging reaksyon ng mga tao, may mga nagduda at may mga naniwala kahit hindi nila lubos na naunawaan. Nagsalita Siya na may awtoridad ng Diyos at inaanyayahan ang lahat na magtiwala sa Kanya, na nangangakong bibigyan ng buhay na walang hanggan at hindi itataboy ang sinumang lalapit. Ipinapaalala rin Niya na walang bagay sa mundo ang tunay na makakapuno sa ating puso kundi Siya, lalo na sa Eukaristiya kung saan Siya ay tunay na naroroon. Kapag lumapit tayo sa Kanya nang may pananampalataya, binibigyan Niya tayo ng kapayapaan at pinupunan ang ating kakulangan.

Pipiliin mo bang magtiwala sa Kanya at hayaan Siyang punuin ang iyong buhay?

“Rabbi, when did you get here?” Jesus answered them and said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, you are looking for me not because you saw signs but because you ate the loaves and were filled. Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him the Father, God, has set his seal.”

Matapos pakainin ni Jesus ang 5,000, muli Siyang hinanap ng mga tao, ngunit nakita Niya na hinahanap lang nila ang pagkain at hindi Siya tunay na nauunawaan. Ipinaalala Niya na huwag habulin ang mga bagay na panandalian lang, kundi ang nagbibigay ng buhay na walang hanggan, ito ay ang pananampalataya sa Kanya.

Inaanyayahan tayo ng mensaheng ito na suriin ang ating puso: lumalapit ba tayo kay Jesus dahil sa mga gusto nating makuha, o dahil gusto talaga natin Siyang makilala?
