The Holy Father Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of Most Rev. Jesse, E. Mercado, D.D., and has appointed Bishop of Cubao, Most Rev. Elias L. Ayuban, Jr, C.M.F., D.D., as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Paraรฑaque.

The announcement was made today by the Apostolic Nuncio of the Philippines.
