MAHA Choir, as it is popularly known within and outside the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians (NSMHC), located in Better Living Subdivision, Paraรฑaque, is a group mainly composed of equally talented and dedicated singers. The initial choir, comprising twelve core members with complete voices, was formed by its choir director, Ms. Rhia Diomampo, and later on, Mr. Jomar Soriano took over as
the accompanist. Today, the role of the choir director is under the tutelage of Mr. Jun Sedufira. MAHA Choir has been assigned to serve regularly at every 6:30 PM Sunday Liturgical Mass. Its usual repertoire of songs is aligned with the line-up as recommended by the Diocese of Paranaque through the Commission on Liturgy and Popular Religiosity (CLPR) and Ministry of Liturgical Music (MLM), which is appropriate for the liturgical celebration to attain one of the most important objectives of the choir: to engage the congregation during the mass worship while maintaining its solemnity. Outside of the parish commitments driven by the passion of its members for choral singing, the MAHA Choir accepts invitations to perform at concerts, weddings, and other events that require the services of a choir. MAHA Choir aims to continuously inspire new talents with similar interests in choir singing to join the group and strengthen its membership base.
