Basic Christian Community Organization A Parañaque City based choir, uplifting souls and hearts through music, worship, and service. Reach us at [email protected] Crisanta Lara. Andrew. This is BCCO.

For more than 40 years, BCCO has been a home for faith and fellowship – welcoming all to sing and serve. On January 27, 1985, BCCO – originally known as "Kapatirang Kristiyano sa Don Galo" – was founded under the leadership of Mrs. With her guidance, members from various backgrounds gathered weekly for Bible study and sharing, fostering a strong foundation of faith and community. Driven by her pas

sion for service, Mrs. Lara later established a youth group to encourage young people’s involvement in the Church. This group, known as "BCC Youth of Don Galo," aimed to deepen their appreciation for God’s Word and commitment to parish service. Under the leadership of its first head, Mrs. Editha Cornelio-Ferrer, the organization thrived, incorporating community outreach programs such as Christmas gift-giving and aid for underprivileged families – all while sustaining its core spiritual activities. A pivotal moment for the group came when they were given the opportunity to lead the singing of liturgical songs at the Cathedral Parish of St. This new responsibility required dedication and preparation, leading to the formation of the "Basic Christian Community Youth Choir (BCCYC)," under the direction of its first choir master, Mr. Gabriel “Jhun” Mendoza Jr. With hearts full of devotion, the choir led worship during Sunday morning Masses and Tuesday novena Masses in honor of Our Lady of Buensuceso, the Patroness of Parañaque. The Basic Christian Community Organization (BCCO) stands as a testament to faith, unity, and service, growing from a small choir into a thriving ministry that continues to inspire through 40 years of music and outreach. BCCO remains deeply rooted at present in its mission, leading worship in the church, performing at various occasions, and extending its ministry beyond the Holy Eucharist through fellowship and charitable works. Honoring its past while embracing the future, BCCO welcomes members from all backgrounds, offering not just a place to sing, but a home where faith is strengthened, lives are touched, and service is a way of life. This is who we are. This is our mission.

“And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:20

Today’s Gospel recounts Jesus’ final commissioning of His disciples, sending them forth to share His teachings with all nations and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though some still carried doubts, they responded in worship, trusting in Christ’s promise to remain with them always.

With voices rising, we offer ourselves in faith and mission, strengthened by the promise that Christ walks with us always. Grateful for your presence in prayer today!

“I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10

Today’s Gospel presents Jesus as the Good Shepherd, who calls His sheep by name and leads them with care. He reminds us that those who listen to His voice will find safety, guidance, and the promise of a life made full in Him. Through this, we are invited to trust in His voice and follow where He leads.

With voices rising, we offer our hearts in listening and in faith, striving to follow His voice more closely each day. Grateful for your presence in prayer today!

“Jesus himself drew near and walked with them.” — Luke 24:15

Today’s Gospel tells of the journey to Emmaus, where two disciples walk in sorrow and confusion, only to be joined by the Risen Christ, though they do not yet recognize Him. In their doubts and questions, Jesus draws near, walks with them, and gently leads them back to faith. Through this moment, we are reminded that even in uncertainty, Christ is present, guiding us and inviting us to believe.

With voices rising, we are reminded that He walks with us in every step, turning doubt into faith and leading us back to hope. Thank you for joining us in prayer!

“Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” — John 20:29

Today’s Gospel shows the Risen Christ appearing to His disciples, bringing them peace in the midst of fear and strengthening their faith. Even in doubt, as with Thomas, Jesus meets us where we are and calls us to believe beyond what we can see. Through this moment, we are reminded that true faith is trusting in His presence, even when it is unseen.

With voices rising, we celebrate this gift of faith and renewal. Thank you for joining us in worship and reflection!
