The Church celebrates the Memorial of the ๐ค๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐น๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ด๐ถ๐ป ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ on August 22. Mary is honored as Queen because she is the Mother of Christ the King and because of her unique association with her Sonโs redemptive mission.
Maryโs queenship is not about earthly power or glory. It is a queenship of love, humility, and service, a motherly presence that continues to guide the Church and lead us closer to her Son.
As members of Christโs royal priesthood, we are reminded of the promise:
"If we persevere, we shall also reign with Him." (2 Timothy 2:12)
