There are people who enter a room and bring noise, and then there are people who bring a feeling. Ember, you have a way of bringing something special with you—a warmth that makes the people around you feel a little more at home. ✨

Your name may remind us of a tiny spark, but the warmth you bring to SDYC is anything but small. 🔥🎶 Through every song, rehearsal, conversation, and shared moment, you become part of the memories that make this choir more than just a group of singers.

One of the beautiful things about being part of a choir is that every voice has a place. Some notes are bold, some are gentle, and some are heard only when everything comes together. Minsan, ang akala natin strength ang pagiging “I’ll handle it myself.”

Pero sabi sa Mateo 18:15–20, may halaga ang pakikipag-usap, pakikinig, at pagkakaroon ng mga taong kasama mo sa pananampalataya. 🤍

May mga bagay na hindi kayang ayusin ng “okay lang ako.”

May mga wounds na kailangan ng conversation.
May mga mistakes na kailangan ng correction.
May mga struggles na kailangan ng kasama.

At higit sa lahat, may mga moments na kailangan nating maalala:

Hindi ka nag-iisa.

Kapag may mga taong nagtitipon hindi para manghusga, kundi para umunawa, magtuwid, magpatawad, at lumapit sa Diyos—naroon Siya sa gitna. 🙏

Kaya kung may pinagdadaanan ka ngayon, huwag mong isipin na kailangan mong maging strong all the time.

Find your people.
Talk. Listen. Pray.
And let God be in the middle.

Some people are remembered for the things they do, while others are remembered for the way they make people feel. Clouie, you are someone whose presence brings its own kind of warmth to our SDYC family. 🤍✨

Being part of a choir means sharing more than just music. It means sharing countless rehearsals, unexpected laughs, tiring days, exciting performances, and little moments that eventually become memories we treasure. And we’re grateful that you are part of those moments. 🎼🌸

There is something special about having you around. You bring your own personality and energy into the group, making every gathering feel a little more complete. You may not always realize the impact you have, but even the simplest things you do can make someone’s day better. 🫶🏻

📖 Mateo 16:21–27

Ang mundo sasabihin sa’yo:

“Dapat successful ka.”
“Dapat marami kang achievements.”
“Dapat may pera ka.”
“Dapat ikaw ang nasa taas.”

Pero si 𝗛esus, ibang direction ang tinuturo.

Minsan, kailangan mong bumaba para makapaglingkod.
Minsan, kailangan mong magparaya para magmahal.
Minsan, kailangan mong bitawan ang sarili mong plano para sundin ang Diyos.

Kasi hindi naman nasusukat ang buhay sa dami ng nakuha mo.

Ang tanong: Para kanino mo ginagamit ang buhay na meron ka?

You can have everything the world wants..
pero kung wala si Kristo, ano ang napala mo?

Hindi kailangan maging “successful” sa mata ng lahat.

Be faithful. Be obedient. Be Christ-like.

Dahil sa huli, hindi likes, achievements, pera, o pangalan ang magbibigay ng tunay na halaga sa buhay mo.

Si Kristo. Siya ang dahilan. Siya ang paglilingkuran. ✝️

📖 Mateo 16:21–27

Minsan gusto natin ng easy life..
walang sakit, walang sacrifice, walang struggle.

Pero sabi ni Hesus: “Kung ibig mong sumunod sa akin, limutin mo ang iyong sarili, pasanin mo ang iyong krus, at sumunod ka sa akin.”

Hindi ibig sabihin na wala nang saya ang buhay.
Ibig sabihin, may mga bagay kang kailangang bitawan para mas piliin si Cristo.

Hindi lahat ng rejection ay loss.
Hindi lahat ng delay ay failure.
At hindi lahat ng sacrifice ay sayang.

Kung kailangan mong piliin between comfort and calling,
between ego and obedience,
between your way and God’s way.

👉 Choose Christ.

Kasi ano nga ba ang silbi ng makuha mo ang mundo kung mawala naman ang tunay mong buhay?

Your cross is not your punishment.
It can be part of your purpose. ✝️

Some people become part of a choir for a season, but somehow, their presence becomes part of its story forever. And Maia, you are one of those people.

At such a young age, you have already given a meaningful part of yourself to SDYC. For two years, you weren’t simply someone who attended rehearsals and sang with us—you were someone who helped shape the choir into what it is today. You gave your time, shared your voice, made memories with us, and even took on the responsibility of serving as one of our assistant conductors. 🎼🤍

Those moments may now belong to the past, but they were never insignificant. Every rehearsal you attended, every song you helped lead, every laugh shared, and every little effort you gave became part of the foundation that others continue to build on today.

And perhaps the most beautiful thing is that even when life becomes busy and you aren’t around as much, your place here never disappears.

🔥 SERVE WITH PURPOSE.
SERVE FOR JESUS. ✝️

📖 Mateo 16:13–20

Sa dami ng ginagawa natin—choir, ministry, events, rehearsals, meetings, missions—minsan nakakalimutan natin ang pinaka-importante:

BAKIT BA TAYO NAGLILINGKOD?

Hindi para mapansin.
Hindi para sa likes.
Hindi para masabing active tayo sa church.
NAGLILINGKOD TAYO DAHIL KILALA NATIN KUNG SINO SI HESUS. ❤️‍🔥

Ang paglilingkod ay hindi lang “may assignment ako.”
Ito ay “Lord, para sa’yo ‘to.”

Kaya kung pagod ka, kapit.
Kung walang pumapansin, serve pa rin.
Kung walang pumapalakpak, serve pa rin.
Kung mahirap, serve pa rin.

Dahil ang tunay na lingkod, hindi naghihintay ng recognition—ang hinahanap niya ay si Kristo.

Know your identity.
Protect your faith.
Serve the Church.
Follow Jesus. 🙏🔥

Hindi lang tayo taga-simba. Tayo ay tinawag upang maglingkod.
