It is a joy to be able to celebrate the feast of our Congregation in this very special context, accompanying our sisters Miralyn and Joyce, who today take another step in their path of fidelity to the Lord as Oblates. Their generosity and dedication also encourage us to renew our own "yes" every day.
Today's gospel, in this doubly festive context for the Congregation, helps us to look at our life and our mission. Jesus is in the midst of a concrete reality, of a society with tensions, interests, and divisions. And today we also live in a society often marked by confrontation and polarization. Jesus shows us another way. When he encounters people, he looks at them, welcomes them, and humanizes them.
He also places us in another key: that of living in truth, in transparency. The Pharisees approach Jesus with words that seem kind, but in reality, they want to put him to the test. Jesus discovers their intention and does not play the game of hypocrisy. He responds from the truth, with freedom and with wisdom.
We too are called to live from that truth, which does not judge or accuse, but helps to grow, which liberates and humanizes. That truth becomes life in our daily relationships, in our communities, in our mission, and in the way we welcome and accompany women and all the people with whom we share charisma and mission.
With this message of Jesus in today's gospel, on this feast of the Most Holy Redeemer we can ask ourselves: how are we making the style of Jesus present in the way we relate to one another?
