Mas hihigpit na ang batas sa delayed salary sa UAE simula June 1, 2026!

Nagpatupad ang bansang United Arab Emirates ng mas mahigpit na patakaran laban sa mga kumpanyang nahuhuling magpasahod sa kanilang mga empleyado sa ilalim ng Wage Protection System (WPS).

Sa ilalim ng bagong polisiya, inaasahang maibibigay na sa tamang araw ang sahod ng mga manggagawa kada unang araw ng buwan. Ang mga employer na mabibigong sumunod ay maaaring maharap sa multa, parusa, at posibleng suspension ng ilang government services.

Layunin ng bagong hakbang na mas maprotektahan ang mga manggagawa, kabilang ang libo-libong OFWs na nagtatrabaho sa UAE.

ICYMI: Corruption diverts funds for essential services like health, education, and housing. Corruption takes away funds for supporting farmers, rural infrastructure, and domestic industrial enterprises. Trapos, bankrolled by the rich and powerful, skew economic policies towards their elite profits instead of the broader public good.

Impeachment is the most politically visible element of the supposed system of checks and balances on the country’s highest officials. Holding the vice president accountable through a credible, transparent and fair impeachment process will show that no public official is above the Constitution or the public interest. It will send a clear signal that public funds cannot be treated as personal property.

𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝘇; 𝟯𝟲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲

Two vessels, Omicron Nikos and Nord, safety exited the Strait of Hormuz on April 25, 2026 after getting stuck in the Persian Gulf amid the conflict in the Middle East. On board the vessels under the Russian and Liberian flags were 36 Filipino seafarers, bringing the total Filipino crew of vessels out of the Strait to close to 1,200.

The DMW continues to closely monitor vessel movements in the region and maintain coordination with manning agencies and shipowners to ensure the safety and welfare of Filipino seafarers. The Department also keeps communication lines open with the affected seafarers and their families. # # #
