Today, we celebrate one of our graduates from the MQAP Youth Scholars program, Micko Fortes!
Micko joined the Little Angels Club in Grade 4, where he participated in various preparatory formations and sessions that helped him grow as a child devoted to celebrating the love of Christ. As he matured, he became a volunteer catechist, further developing his ability to engage with others.
Micko’s journey took some unexpected turns when the pandemic hit. During the rise of online eucharistic celebrations, he stepped up and became a member of the 2nd Generation of the Social Communications Ministry. This opportunity allowed his technical and creative skills to flourish. As a current member, he has witnessed the transformation of a community adapting to the new normal while continuing to serve Christ and building a digital-ready parish community.
In 2022, Micko became actively involved in the return of the various youth-led events within the parish, including the Lenten Street Plays, the Christmas Presentation, and the Way of the Cross, where he served as an audio and video editor. His creative talents continued to shine as a member of the Parish Youth Day Creatives team. In 2025, during the 40th Anniversary of the Parish, he contributed as a Layout Artist for the Parish Souvenir Magazine, showcasing his hard work and dedication to the community.
Micko's story highlights a foundation built to last a lifetime. With each act of devotion and excellence, he brings forth the harmony and depth of human connection that leads to the heart of Christ.

Simone Caelli, PIME, and the dedicated team of the MQAP Youth Scholarship Program for empowering youth like Micko to serve as beacons of perseverance, faith, and dedication to both their studies and their service.
