Inaanyayahan po ang lahat na makiisa sa paggunita sa mahal na Birheng Maria ng Fatima ngayong ika-13 ng Mayo, 2026. Magkakaroon po ng Banal na Misa sa ganap na ika-6:00 ng gabi sa Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, Mon-el.

Sama-sama po nating parangalan at alayan ng panalangin ang Mahal na Birheng Maria, Our Lady of Fatima, upang patuloy niya tayong gabayan at ipanalangin sa ating Panginoon. Nawa’y magdala ito ng kapayapaan, pananampalataya, at pag-asa sa bawat pamilya at pamayanan.

Jesus says that the sheep know his voice. As human beings, we resonate with people, ideas and activities that give us life, that urge us toward all that each of us is uniquely capable of becoming. These are expressions of the voice of the shepherd who desires to lead us to green pastures, restful water, freedom from fear. When we heed that voice, when we allow it to become more powerful in us, we grow in union with God and all that belongs to God.

In describing himself as a both a shepherd and a gate in today’s gospel, Jesus invites us to abundant life—life where security is found in what is most life-giving.

Jesus, help us to recognize Your voice so that we may follow You faithfully. Lead us into a deeper trust in You, that we may experience the fullness and abundance of the life You promise. Open our hearts to Your guidance, and give us the courage to walk in Your ways each day. Amen.

Today we celebrate the 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭

The oldest and the shortest of the four Gospels, the Gospel of Mark emphasizes Jesus’ rejection by humanity while being God’s triumphant envoy. Probably written for gentile converts in Rome—after the death of Peter and Paul—Mark’s Gospel is the gradual manifestation of a “scandal”: a crucified Messiah.

A winged lion is Mark’s symbol. The lion derives from Mark’s description of John the Baptist as a “voice of one crying out in the desert” (Mark 1:3), which artists compared to a roaring lion. The wings come from the application of Ezekiel’s vision of four winged creatures to the evangelists.

O glorious Saint Mark, by the grace of God the Father, you became a great evangelist preaching the Good News of Christ. Help us know Him well so that we may live our lives faithfully as followers of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Do you recognize the Risen Lord in his word and in the breaking of the bread?

Jesus chided the disciples on the road to Emmaus for their slowness of heart to believe what the Scriptures had said concerning the Messiah. They did not recognize the risen Jesus until he had broken bread with them. Do you recognize the Lord in his word and in the breaking of the bread?

How often do we fail to recognize the Lord when he speaks to our hearts and opens his mind to us? The Risen Lord is ever ready to speak his word to us and to give us understanding of his ways. Do you listen attentively to the Word of God and allow his word to change and transform you?

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, open the eyes of my heart to recognize your presence with me and to understand the truth of your saving word. Nourish me with your life-giving word and with the bread of life.

Today we celebrate the 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐞

The life of Saint Benedict Joseph Labre reminds us that holiness is not found in comfort, but in surrender. In a world chasing status and security, he chose poverty, prayer, and trust in God alone.

His witness challenges us to see dignity beyond appearances and to value what truly lasts. As Pope Benedict XVI reflected, true richness is found in a life centered on God.

On April 12, 2026, the Church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday, the first Sunday after Easter, a sacred day of immense spiritual significance for Catholics worldwide. Rooted in the revelations of Saint Faustina Kowalska and affirmed by the Church, this day offers the faithful a unique opportunity to receive extraordinary graces, including the remission of sins and punishment through the Sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion.

As taught by the Church, Divine Mercy Sunday stands as a powerful reminder of Christ’s boundless mercy, where the “floodgates of grace” are opened for all who approach Him with trust. The faithful are invited to deepen their devotion by participating in the Eucharist, praying for the intentions of the Holy Father, and reciting prayers such as “Jesus, I trust in You,” especially in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

This sacred celebration calls every soul to turn to the Merciful Lord, embracing His invitation: “Let no soul fear to draw near to Me.”
