Feast of Saint Bartholomew, Apostle | August 24

Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of Saint Bartholomew, one of the Twelve Apostles and a faithful witness to Christ. Traditionally identified with Nathanael, he was introduced to Jesus by Philip and responded to the Lord's call with an open and searching heart.

When Philip told him that they had found the One promised by Moses and the prophets, Nathanael asked, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Yet when he encountered Jesus, his doubts gave way to faith, and he proclaimed, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.”

Saint Bartholomew's journey reminds us that honest questions need not keep us from faith. When we encounter Christ personally, our searching can become a profound confession of faith and a call to follow Him wholeheartedly.

May we, like Saint Bartholomew, seek Christ with sincere hearts, recognize Him when He calls, and courageously bear witness to the Gospel.

St. Pius X | August 21

Today, we honor the Memorial of St. Pius X, a humble shepherd whose deep love for Christ inspired countless faithful to grow in holiness. Known for encouraging frequent reception of the Holy Eucharist and lowering the age for First Holy Communion, he reminded the Church that Jesus in the Eucharist is the source of strength for every soul.

May the life of St. Pius X inspire us to remain faithful in prayer, cherish the gift of the Holy Eucharist, and seek to restore all things in Christ through lives marked by humility, charity, and unwavering faith.

Memorial of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux | August 20

Today, we honor Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, a Cistercian monk, abbot, preacher, and Doctor of the Church whose life was marked by a profound love for Christ and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Gifted with wisdom, eloquence, and a heart deeply rooted in prayer, Saint Bernard tirelessly called others to return to God with humility and love. His writings remind us that the heart finds its true rest when it seeks and loves the Lord above all things.

May Saint Bernard inspire us to deepen our prayer, seek Christ with undivided hearts, and become faithful witnesses of God's mercy and love in the world.

5 DAYS TO GO! 🌹

The countdown continues! In just 5 days, we will joyfully welcome the National Pilgrim and Pontifically Crowned Image of Our Lady of Fatima to the Fr. Joseph Frassinetti Seminary from August 21–24, 2026.

As we prepare for this grace-filled visitation, let us also prepare our hearts through prayer, sacrifice, reparation, and a deeper love for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

“Eat and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, terribly outraged by the ingratitude of men. Offer reparation for their sins and console God.”

The message of Fatima reminds us that our love for Jesus must not remain only in words. We are called to offer our prayers, sacrifices, and even our daily struggles as acts of love and reparation. Above all, the Angel of Peace directs our hearts toward the Eucharist, where Jesus continues to give Himself completely for us.

As we count down these 5 days, may we ask ourselves: How can I love Jesus more deeply? What can I offer Him in prayer and sacrifice? How can I become a source of consolation to His Heart?

May Our Lady of Fatima teach us to remain close to Jesus, to treasure His presence in the Blessed Sacrament, and to live our faith with greater generosity.

Let these final days be more than a countdown. Let them be a preparation of the heart. May every prayer bring us closer to Jesus, and may every sacrifice become an offering of love.
