We warmly invite all parishioners to join the 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐬 on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐚𝐭 𝟐:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌.

This gathering will bring together the three canonically crowned images of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Diocese of Parañaque: Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso, Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados de Muntinlupa, and Maria Auxilio de los Cristianos of Parañaque.

The procession will begin from the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Baclaran and will proceed along the following route: through Redemptorist Road toward Quirino Avenue and culminating at the Cathedral Parish of St. Andrew and Diocesan Shrine of Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso in La Huerta, Parañaque with a Eucharistic Celebration at 6:00pm.

Let us accompany Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, our beloved Patroness, as we walk together in prayer, faith, and devotion.

Parishioners are encouraged to wear our Parish Fiesta Shirt.

As part of our Fiesta activities, we are inviting our young parishioners, 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟏 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟕, to join our 𝐎𝐧-𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Those who wish to participate may register at the Parish Office. We encourage our young parishioners to take part and share their creativity and love for our faith through art.

Twenty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time | August 23, 2026

🙏✨

“But who do you say that I am?”

Jesus does not ask us only what others say about Him. He asks us a deeply personal question: Who is Jesus to you?

Peter answered with faith, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” But as Fr. James reminds us in his homily, recognizing Christ cannot remain only in our minds. “It must go down to our heart.” Faith is more than knowing about Jesus—it is allowing what we know to transform how we live.

We may know the teachings. We may attend Mass, listen to homilies, pray, and call ourselves Christians. But the question remains: Does our life show who Jesus is to us?

To truly proclaim, “You are the Christ,” is to be willing to follow Him—to deny ourselves, carry our cross, and give our lives in love.

Faith begins in the head, descends into the heart, and becomes real through action.

So today, perhaps the Gospel invites us to pause and answer—not with someone else’s words, but with our own lives:

Who is Jesus to me? And if He truly is the Christ, can people see Him in the way I live?

🙏 Lord Jesus, deepen our faith. Move what we know from our heads into our hearts, and from our hearts into lives of love, service, and action. Amen.

Gospel: Matthew 15:21–28

“We don’t have to give up. Don’t lose hope. Don’t lose heart. There is always hope beyond what we see.”

In today’s Gospel, we encounter the Canaanite woman—a mother who refused to give up. She came to Jesus carrying her deepest pain and pleading for the healing of her daughter. Even when she seemed to be ignored, challenged, and turned away, she remained persistent.

Her faith reminds us that prayer is not always about receiving an immediate answer. Sometimes, it is about continuing to trust when we cannot yet see what God is doing.

As Fr. Glenn reminded us, life has its seasons. When there is high tide, there is also low tide. When there is sunshine, there is also rain. When there is night, there will always be morning. Hindi po lahat gabi. Mayroong din umaga.

There may be moments when we feel exhausted, discouraged, or tempted to walk away from everything. We may even wonder if God is listening. But the Gospel invites us to keep coming back to Him—to keep praying, keep trusting, and keep hoping.

Like the Canaanite woman, may we have the courage to say, “Lord, help me.” And like Mary, may we learn to surrender even when we do not fully understand God’s plan.

Because we may not see the whole picture yet, but there is always hope beyond what we see.

🙏 Lord, teach us to persevere. Give us patience when the journey becomes difficult, faith when the answer seems delayed, and hope when we feel like giving up. May we continue to trust in Your providence and believe that, in Your perfect time, You will make all things beautiful.
