Five years of standing and serving together! SGCMI recently celebrated its 5th Anniversary, rooted in the spirit of 1 Corinthians 12:12.

It was a joy-filled day starting with a service led by Bro. Nyor Calip followed by special numbers from our kids and young professionals. We spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying games, raffle draws, and lunch fellowship. Thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible!

To God Be all the Glory! 🙏🎉

May 17, 2026 | SGCMI Tribute to Mothers:
A Post-Mother's Day Celebration

It was a Sunday filled with sweet surprises for our dear mothers in SGCMI!

The Kids’ Ministry brought smiles with a lovely duet by Blaze Reyes and Glianne Sagisabal and a wonderful group dance. They were also treated to a surprise acoustic number from Bro. Ian Mahinay of the Young Professionals!

Closing the tribute, the Youth Ministry sang a heartfelt rendition of "Thanks to You," paired with a touching slideshow of photos and moving messages that brought tears of joy to many.

Every mother was blessed with personal, handwritten and printed letters of appreciation from their families, paired with a special token to remind them of how deeply they are cherished.

To all our spiritual mothers, biological mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures: Thank you. Thank you for your endless sacrifices, your unwavering faith, and for being the hands and feet of Jesus in our homes and our church.

We love you, we appreciate you, and we pray that God continues to bless you abundantly!

Ibinahagi at binigyang-diin ni Sis. Chel Garcia ng Music Team ang mga aral mula sa Deuteronomy 9 lalo na sa bersikulo 6, “Kaya't pakatandaan ninyo na ibinibigay na ni Yahweh ang lupaing
ito hindi dahil sa kayo ay matuwid; ang totoo’y lahi kayo ng matitigas ang ulo.”

Ang pagiging PALALO (proud/pride) ay pagtuturing sa sarili ng higit sa nararapat, isang katangian na hindi kalugud-lugod sa Diyos sapagkat ito’y humahadlang
sa Kanyang pagpapala, plano at pangako sa buhay ng isang tao.

🌟 4Rs sa Paglaban sa ang “Kapalaluan” at Pagkamtan ng Pagpapala ng Diyos:

1️⃣ Recognize God's Presence, Power, Protection, Provision and Promise (v.1-6)

2️⃣ Remember the Records of Pride
(v.7, 8-18, 20-24)

A. PRIDE in Dissatisfaction (Pagrereklamo)
📌 Complaining against God's provision reveals discontent, but He uses it to teach them humility.

B. PRIDE in Disobedience (Pagsuway)
(Deut. 1:25-27)
📌 Disobedience lead us to follow our own path instead of Gods' delaying His blessings and promises.

C. PRIDE in Disguise (Pagkatakot)
(Deut. 1:28)
📌 Pride hidden in fear reveals we hold onto our own limitations and weakness rather than drawing from God's strength and power.

D. PRIDE in Full Display (Pagrerebelde)
(Deut. 8:24)
📌 Pride in rebellion becomes full display when we replace God with idols and worship what our hands have made.

3️⃣ RECONCILE through Prayer (Pananalangin at Pamamagitan)
(v. 25-29)

4️⃣ RECEIVE God’s Mercy and Live in Humility (Pagtanggap sa Habag ng Diyos at Pagpapakumbaba)
(v. 19)

❌ BABALA:
Pinapalo ang mga "palalo" bilang pagdidisiplina ng Diyos. May parusang katapat ang kapalaluan kung walang "repentance."

🗯 PAALALA:
Mabuti ang Diyos at tapat sa Kanyang pangako sa
sinumang sa Kanya ay kikilala at susunod.

How do we guard our hearts against vanity and bitterness? In a recent message inspired by James 3:14 (NIV), "But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth”, Bro. Bernard Espina shared 5 powerful takeaways:

1️⃣ Be happy for someone’s achievement
(1 Thessalonians 5:11)
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

2️⃣ Be contented of what you can do
(Hebrews 13:5)
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

3️⃣ Remember that there are better/lesser persons than you
(Philippians 2:3)
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.”

4️⃣ Your moment and time will come soon
(Ecclesiastes 3:11)
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

"CELEBRATING OUR DIFFERENCES, UNITED IN OUR SAVIOR" 🙌

Bro. Nyor Calip shared an empowering message on how to Stand and Serve Together in Unity from 1 Corinthians 12:12-14.

UNITY is a Great WORD and a Great WORK.

🌟 To Stand and Serve Together in UNITY:

1️⃣ Ang Bawat Member ay GIFT
(1 Corinthians 12:4-6)
- We need to UNWRAP the GIFT.
- There’s a GIFT inside of US that we need to discover.

2️⃣ Ang Bawat Member ay FUNCTIONAL
(1 Corinthians 12:7-11)
- Stop comparing yourself with others.
- Embrace only your God-given function in the Church.
- Do not try to do everything on your own.

▪️2 Basic functions
- SERVE the LORD
- STAND to WIN SOULS

3️⃣ Ang Bawat Member ay UNIQUE
(1 Corinthians 12:21-24)
-UNITY is not 'sameness'; it is oneness with purpose.
UNITY is not equal to UNIFORMITY
- Appreciate differences in personality, gifts and roles.
- Don’t expect everyone to serve like you.

4️⃣ Ang Bawat Member ay IMPORTANT
(1 Corinthians 12:25) (COMPASSION and CONCERN)
- Value behind-the-scenes servants.
- Reject spiritual pride.
- Honor all forms of service.

5️⃣ Ang Bawat Member ay FAMILY
(1 Corinthians 12:26-27)
- "Sakit ng Kalingkingan, Ramdam ng Buong Katawan"
- When one suffers, all suffer.
- One for All, All for One!
- No division in the body.

✨CONCLUSION
🔹 We, as a Family in SGCMI, represent Christ together.
🔹 Our Church works best when everyone functions.
UNITY is not automatic, it’s intentional!

💯 FAMILIES NEVER GIVE UP ON EACH OTHER
THEY SUPPORT and PROTECT ONE ANOTHER.
THEY LOVE and CARE FOR EACH OTHER.

💯 We are strongest when we stand and serve together for the glory, honor and praise of our LORD JESUS CHRIST!

🔹 May himala, kapag kay Jesus nagpapakumbaba (v.41 & 42)
“Ang kagalingan ay hindi nakabatay sa ating posisyon, ito ay dahil kay Jesus na nagbibigay solusyon.”

🔹 May himala kapag kay Jesus totoong nanampalataya (v.49 & 52)
“Ang pananalig ay may kaakibat na pagsunod, sa tamang panahon ni Jesus ay huwag mapapagod.”

🔹 May himala kapag sa kapangyarihan ni Jesus ay kumikilala (v.41b & 47)

Reflecting on EPHESIANS 4:1–6, Bro. Tong Galunan highlighted the believer's call to preserve and MAINTAIN the UNITY in the BODY OF CHRIST urging everyone to make every effort to stay united.

IMPORTANT VALUES TO MAINTAIN TO UNITE THE BODY OF CHRIST:

1️⃣ HUMILITY (v2a)
“… with all humility and gentleness..”(v2a)
▪ Thinking more of others than yourself
▪ To serve and not to be served or being a servant not a master
▪ Count blessings not wrongdoing of others

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.” -C. S. Lewis

2️⃣ GENTLENESS (v2a)
“…with all humility and gentleness”
▪ The quality of being calm, kind, tender, and careful, often acting as a display of strength through controlled behavior rather than violence or harshness
▪ Showing thankfulness towards God, as well as polite, restrained and compassionate behavior towards everyone else

3️⃣A. PATIENCE (v2b)
“.. with patience, bearing with one another in love”
▪ Makrothumia(Gr) - self-restraint which does not hastily retaliate a wrong
▪ The ability to endure delay, provocation or difficulty calmly without becoming annoyed, frustrated, or angry by a certain situation
▪ It is our ability to endure difficult situations
without giving into anger or giving up hope.
▪ For the people of God there is no room for hatred in our hearts specially if we are provoked, tested and tried. We don’t yield to situations, we embrace it calmly and comes out strongly.
▪ Endeavoring for the unity of the body of Christ (v3-6), we don’t create divisions instead we unite in Spirit by the grace of God.

4️⃣ FORBEARANCE AND LONG-SUFFERING (v2b)
“..with patience, bearing with one another in love”
🔸“Forbearance”
patient, open-mindedness on difficult people without retaliation
🔸“Long-suffering”
being "long-tempered"; focused on enduring what is good to
others over time rather than self-protection

🌟Love (Agape, Gr.)
the highest form of love; unconditional, selfless and sacrificial; defined as the love of God for humanity
