Not A Fanatic But A Believer!

It is difficult for others to just let go and let God! They call me a fanatic, but I told them, no, I am a believer. And that means I trust God and who He is. I trust His Word and cling to His promises. I believe He cares and that He would not allow anything to happen to me without His knowledge. I believe that He wants to bless me as I obey Him. Get ready with your pen and paper.

Look at these passages and list what they are telling about God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Be a believer; glean and be blessed by the truth from these passages.

Wisdom

Imagine you are Aladdin and found a lamp with a genie, and then the genie asked what do you desire to have during this New Year and after? What is going to come out of your lips? Vaccine? Money? Fame or success or what?

Our hearts desire many things. Many of them are not bad and even very important in our lives. But I hope you will desire to have one of the most important things in our journey here on this earth and that is wisdom.

As we look forward to another cluster of adventures and challenges, having wisdom from above is a non-negotiable item we need to acquire. Listen to the wisest man who had ever lived:

1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

2 To know wisdom and instruction, To discern the sayings of understanding,

3 To receive instruction in wise behavior, Righteousness, justice, and integrity;

4 To give prudence to the naive, To the youth knowledge and discretion,

5 A wise person will hear and increase in learning, And a person of understanding will acquire wise counsel,

6 To understand a proverb and a saying, The words of the wise and their riddles.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:1-7

And remember, wisdom is available to all who want to have it for God gives it liberally to those who are seeking it (see James 1:5).

So ask, and it shall be given to you.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving

Loving Father, thank You for Your love and forgiveness. Thank You for a new life through Jesus Christ. May we live today in full freedom from sin, alive to grace.

We allow ourselves to be shaped into whatever You desire. Thank You that You strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to You.

Help us to be humble and tenderhearted. Place a strong desire in our hearts to please You in all things.

Abba Father, thank You for looking beyond our faults and for loving us unconditionally. Give us eyes to see the needs of those around us, and show us how to meet those needs in a way that pleases You.

Thank You that we can be assured all things, not some things but all, will work together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

May God the Father bless us. May God the Son protect us. May God the Holy Spirit enlighthen us. In Jesus' name. Amen. John 13:36-38.

Jesus Never Changes!

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭‬‬‬‬

What an assurance that I can expect our Lord Jesus to be faithful! He was then and He will remain even now. He does not change. He remains just, loving, and full of mercy. It is very encouraging to know that how He deals with me last year, He will also be the same this year and forever. I can still cling to His promises of provision, protection, and presence. He knows what is going on with my life, and I know He cares. He deals with us not according to our sins but according to His love and mercy.

The Lord is enough for us. He is the non-negotiable Essential for us even today. Be reminded of what He promised to us and what our response should be.

“Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He, Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,” so that we confidently say, “THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:5-6‬ ‭‬‬‬‬
