Yesterday, we finally held our Paoay Ward Seminary Kick-Off Activity. Although it was scheduled a little later than planned due to our many activities in June, we truly felt that the Lordโ€™s timing was perfect.

It was especially meaningful because the leaders had recently attended the Seminary and Institute Convention. Through the inspired trainings we received, together with our bishops and youth leaders, we gained a greater understanding of how we can strengthen Seminary in our own wards and better assist in the work of God.

One of our goals for the kick-off was to invite not only our youth but also their parents and youth leaders. We wanted to emphasize the importance of Children and Youth Protection by ensuring that an adult is present in every Seminary class aside from the teacher. We were grateful that we were able to create a class schedule together, and many parents and leaders willingly committed to help throughout the semester.

We were also blessed to have Brother Jared De Leon, our new Stake Seminary and Institute Supervisor, as our speaker. His orientation, inspired message, and powerful testimony about Seminary touched the hearts of our youth and encouraged them to continue attending faithfully.

We are equally grateful for the support of our bishop, Bishop Franklin Apostol, whose encouragement continues to strengthen this effort. We are also thankful for our dedicated Seminary teachers, Sister Jona Mendoza and our newly called teacher, Brother Paul Abucay, who prepared activities that were not only fun and engaging but also centered on the gospel. It was a joy to see the parents and youth leaders actively participate alongside the youth, making the entire experience more meaningful and memorable.

Seeing so many youth, parents, and leaders attend was truly a blessing. It reminded us that Seminary becomes stronger when teachers, leaders, and parents work together with one purpose. We are grateful for the guidance and training provided through Seminary and Institute in the Laoag Mission, which continues to help us better serve our youth.

More than anything, it was a blessing to witness the smiles of our youth, their willingness to participate, and their growing testimonies. We pray that this semester, Seminary will continue to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ, deepen their conversion, and help them stay on the covenant path.

The work of salvation and exaltation is best accomplished as families, leaders, and teachers labor together in helping our youth come unto Christ. ๐Ÿค

As part of the Stake Relief Society's Child Nutrition Program (CNP) initiative, our Ward Relief Society conducted a follow-up nutrition screening for children aged 0โ€“59 months. This activity followed the Stake-wide CNP held during last Family Week, allowing us to monitor the progress of children in the ward who were previously assessed while also including new children who were not able to participate during the initial screening.

Through the combined efforts of our Ward Relief Society and Primary leaders, in collaboration with the Stake Relief Society leaders, the children had their weight and height measured to help identify those at risk of malnutrition. Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC), a simple measurement of the upper arm used to assess a childโ€™s nutritional status and detect early signs of malnutrition or undernutrition, was also measured. A feeding activity was conducted to support their health and well-being.

We are grateful to Barangay Health Worker (BHW) Anabelle E. Toledo of Brgy. Pasil and Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) Marivic C. Balioac of Brgy. Salbang for their help and support in this activity.

We also thank all the Relief Society and Primary leaders who dedicated their time and efforts to serve the children and families. Truly, through small acts of service, we are able to show love and care to those around us.

What a beautiful day spent in the House of the Lord, where we were blessed to feel the peace and love that come from worshipping in His holy temple. We had the opportunity to participate in sacred ordinances, feel the Spirit, and draw closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Being there reminded us that the temple is truly a place of peace, revelation, and healing.

Truly, there is no better place to draw closer to Jesus Christ than in His holy house.

We were also blessed to enjoy a side trip to the beautiful City of Baguio. We were reminded of Godโ€™s goodness in allowing us to rest, reflect, and strengthen our bonds as friends and ward.

In preparation for the Ward Temple Trip, the Relief Society (RS) gathered for a meaningful Family History activity to reserve temple appointments and gather family names for temple ordinances. Through this experience, we were reminded of our sacred responsibility to connect generations and help provide saving ordinances for our ancestors.

Afterwards, aside from family history, we also enjoyed a homemaking activity where we prepared and mixed Malunggay pancakes learning simple, healthy, and nourishing ways to strengthen our homes and families.

Present in the activity also was Brother John Gonzales, who helped the sisters in their Family History Activity and also helped the Young Men as they participated and served during the activity.

We are grateful for the spirit of unity, learning, and service felt throughout the activity as we continue preparing for the blessings of the temple.

The Young Single Adults (YSA) gathered for an activity at Valdez Farm, and even with the rain pouring down, everyone still showed up with smiles and willing hearts.

At the start of the activity, we were spiritually uplifted as Elder Batuyong shared a wonderful message from Doctrine and Covenants 6:36: โ€ It was a reminder for us to always turn our hearts and minds to the Savior. Even when life feels uncertain, cloudy, or stormy, we can find peace and courage as we trust Him and keep our focus on His love and guidance. It is also a reminder that we are never alone.

As the activity continued, the atmosphere became even more joyful as we enjoyed fun games, delicious food, and meaningful fellowship together.

Amidst the busyness of work and everyday responsibilities, this time together gave us a chance to pause, reflect, and be spiritually renewed. These kinds of gatherings strengthen our testimonies, uplift our spirits, and help us build lasting friendships rooted in Christlike love. Despite the weather, it reminds us that joy is found not in perfect circumstances, but in faith, unity, and the people we share them with.
