At Easter, we remember Jesus Christ, the literal Son of God. He came to earth on a divine mission: to live a mortal life, teach truth, testify of His Father, and show us what perfect love looks like.

Because of His perfect love, He willingly sacrificed His life so we could have eternal life. Because of His sacrifice, we can find forgiveness, peace, and hope. He overcame death so we could live again, and His love makes it possible for us to change and grow.

How has Jesus Christ’s love changed your life?

Good morning Brothers and Sisters

Wǒ shì tiê jǐmèi, I am Sister Ponferrada, and I have been officially set apart as a Full-time Missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My Missionary Training will begin on March 12, 2026.

My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.

I am beyond grateful for the privilege Heavenly Father has given me to be part of the Lord's vineyard and help Him gather the scattered Israel. Ever since I started preparing for my mission and attending Institute and Missionary Preparation Classes, my desire to serve Him has deepened. I find great joy in bearing my testimony to others and I am grateful that Heavenly Father has given me this opportunity to serve Him. I am not doing this for myself or for others; I am doing this because I love Him, it is for Him, and I know this is what He wants for me. I testify that the Book of Mormon is true and that it contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

As we approach Easter, many Christian communities around the world engage in a spiritual period of sacrifice and contemplation. Sacrifice has always had a role in the gospel, but what we’re asked to offer to the Savior now is different from what was required in ancient times.

As Jesus Christ taught the Nephites in the Book of Mormon, “And ye shall offer up unto me no more the shedding of blood; yea, your sacrifices and your burnt offerings shall be done away, for I will accept none of your sacrifices and your burnt offerings. And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit. And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, him will I baptize with fire and with the Holy Ghost” (3 Nephi 9:19–20).

How can you offer up a “broken heart and a contrite spirit” to the Lord this Easter?
