A hardworking farmer couple from San Remigio, Cebu—Diosdado Cataraja Sr. and Libelita Tauto-an Cataraja—spent most of their lives under the scorching sun, planting rice to support their family. They had very little money, but they carried a powerful dream: to give their children a better future through education.

Life in the fields was never easy. Day after day, they worked tirelessly, enduring heat and hardship. Despite their struggles, they remained focused on one goal—to send all eight of their children to college. They sacrificed their comfort and needs so their children could study and succeed.

Slowly, their sacrifices began to bear fruit. One by one, their children finished college, choosing careers in fields like nursing, engineering, maritime studies, accounting, architecture, and education. Not only did they graduate, but they also passed their licensure exams and built stable, successful careers.

Their daughter Jovy later shared their journey online, where it touched the hearts of many people. Their story is a powerful reminder that love, sacrifice, and determination can overcome even the hardest challenges and turn dreams into reality.
