In celebration of the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the ninth day of the Novena, Rev. Fr. Eugenio Innocentes III, SDB, reflected on the essence of authentic Christian discipleship during his homily. Drawing inspiration from Maryโ€™s humble submission to God's divine plan in the Gospel, Fr. Eugenio emphasized that true sanctity is not achieved by withdrawing from society, but rather by transforming our daily affairs into spaces where the Divine can dwell. He reminded the faithful that "holiness doesn't require us to leave the world, but to create a sanctuary for God within our everyday lives"โ€”a poignant call to embody the Queen Motherโ€™s radical faith, humility, and total devotion to God in the midst of our ordinary routines.

The Feast Day of St. Rose of Lima is a special celebration honoring the life, faith, and virtues of St. Rose, the first canonized saint of the Americas and the patroness of the Philippines. Celebrated every August 23, the feast reminds us of her deep love for God, her compassion for the poor and suffering, and her life of prayer, humility, and sacrifice.

As we celebrate her feast, may St. Rose of Lima inspire us to remain faithful in times of difficulty, to serve others with love, and to live our lives with kindness and devotion. May her example encourage us to strengthen our faith and become instruments of hope and love in our community.

Loving God, SAINT ROSE was a mystic and visionary who received invisible stigmata, and yet she often suffered from the feeling that You were distant. Despite how lonely this felt, she persisted in believing that You were indeed with her all the time, and she continually prayed to grow stronger in her ability to trust You. I ask her to intercede for me when my feelings tell me You are not near, and to pray most powerfully for all those I know who are right now experiencing loneliness because they are unaware of how close You are to them. Open our hearts to the reality of Your intimacy. Amen!

Pistang Patron 2026 invites all parishioners, families, and devotees to reflect on St. Roseโ€™s inspiring life of holiness, humility, and selfless devotion. Let us open our hearts to the abundant grace of this feast day, uniting in prayer as one vibrant community to honor her enduring legacy of faith and love.
