A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew

The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.
Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

𝗙𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 | 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

JOHN 14:1–12

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where [I] am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said to him, “Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.”

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John

“Very truly, I tell you, anyone who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate but climbs in by another way is a thief and a bandit. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. They will not follow a stranger, but they will run from him because they do not know the voice of strangers.”

Jesus used this figure of speech with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.

So again Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and bandits; but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."

As we celebrate the glorious Resurrection of our Lord, the Ministry of Altar Servers extends its joy and blessings to our entire parish community this Easter Season. We also want to say a huge thank you to our brethren in the Ministry for their hard work and dedication, especially during the busy days of Holy Week. Your help at the altar makes our Mass and liturgy beautiful, and we are so grateful for your service and your faith. In solemn remembrance of the Lord’s passion and death, our community comes together in faith during the Santo Entierro procession. As altar servers, we are humbled to serve in this sacred tradition—walking in silence, prayer, and reverence, reflecting on Christ’s ultimate sacrifice for us all.

May this moment deepen our devotion and remind us that even in darkness, hope awaits in the promise of the Resurrection.

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior;
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
