As we conclude this year's celebration of Flores de Mayo, we offer our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us and made this occasion truly special. Your presence, prayers, and participation filled our chapel with faith, joy, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.🩵

We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to all our generous sponsors and benefactors who shared their blessings by providing supplies and gifts for the children. Your kindness brought smiles to many young hearts and reminded us of the spirit of generosity and love that this celebration represents.

To all the volunteers, parents, youth, and community members who offered their time, effort, and support throughout the preparation and culmination, thank you for helping make this event a meaningful and successful one.

As we prepared for the Culmination of Flores de Mayo, we came together with joy, dedication, and faith to help make the celebration meaningful and memorable. From cleaning and arranging the chapel, to assisting in various tasks, every effort reflected our love and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

These moments reminded us that Flores de Mayo was not only about honoring Mary through flowers, but also about strengthening friendships, serving the community, and growing in faith together.

We are grateful to everyone who shared their time and energy throughout the preparations. May all our hard work serve as a beautiful offering to our Mother Mary.🩵

CULMINATION OF FLORES DE MAYO 2026💐

Join us later at St. Agustin Chapel, Lag-itan | 2pm as we celebrate the Culmination of Flores de Mayo in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

As we conclude this month-long celebration dedicated to Our Lady, we invite everyone to take part in this meaningful gathering filled with prayer, thanksgiving, and fellowship. Let us unite in honoring Mary’s example of faith and entrust our intentions to her loving care.

The culmination of our offering is the beginning of a deeper faith.

Flores de Mayo is almost here!

Celebrated throughout the month of May in the Philippines, Flores de Mayo is a beautiful fusion of faith, culture, and community. It is a time when devotees, especially children and young women, offer flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary as a sign of love and devotion. Churches and chapels become vibrant with colorful blooms, prayers, and songs dedicated to Our Lady.

One of the most anticipated highlights is the Santacruzan, a grand procession held toward the end of May. It reenacts the search for the Holy Cross by Queen Helena and her son, Emperor Constantine. Participants dress in elegant gowns, portraying biblical and historical figures, making it both a religious and cultural spectacle.

Beyond the ceremonies, Flores de Mayo brings people together. Neighborhoods come alive with decorations, evening gatherings, and shared prayers. For many, it’s also a time of nostalgia—remembering childhood days of offering flowers, joining processions, or simply watching the festivities with family.

At its heart, Flores de Mayo is more than a tradition—it’s a reminder of simple faith expressed through beauty and community. As May approaches, it invites everyone to slow down, reflect, and offer even the smallest “flowers” of kindness, gratitude, and prayer.

March 31, 2026

On the Tuesday of Holy Week, Peter noticed the fully withered fig tree Jesus had cursed, to which Jesus admonished a lesson to have faith and recognize the power of forgiveness:

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not count in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” -Mark 11:22-26

Holy Tuesday was a day of avoiding traps and teaching. The priests set four traps for Jesus, the first questioning His authority, to which He answered with a question and then taught three parables: The Parable of the Two Sons, The Parable of the Tenants, and The Parable of the Wedding Banquet. The second trap challenged Jesus’ allegiance, the third trap attempted to ridicule Jesus’ belief in resurrection, and the fourth Jesus answered by claiming God’s greatest command to be “Love.”

Stopping at the Mount of Olives to rest on the way back to Bethany to spend the night, Jesus spoke to His disciples about the upcoming trials for His followers.
