IN PHOTOS | San Agustin Parish celebrated its 7th Day Novena Mass on August 25, 2026, as part of the faithful’s spiritual preparation for the upcoming Fiesta of San Agustin.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Julius S. Tonel, D.D., Archbishop of Zamboanga, together with bishops from different parts of Mindanao. The celebration was also graced by the special presence of Archbishop Alberto S. Uy of Cebu and Rev. Father Gerardo “Jingboy” Fortich S**o Jr.
Present during the Eucharistic celebration were Parish Priest Fr. Nilo Batausa and Parish Vicar Rev. Fr. Niño Delusa, along with other priests who joined and concelebrated the Mass.
Among the bishops in attendance were Most Rev. Ruben C. Labajo, D.D., Bishop of Prosperidad; Most Rev. Raul B. Dael, SSJV, D.D., Bishop of Tandag; Most Rev. Martin S. Jumoad, D.D., Archbishop of Ozamiz; Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao; Most Rev. Abel C. Apigo, D.D., Bishop of Mati; Most Rev. Jose Colin Bagaforo, D.D., Bishop of Kidapawan; Most Rev. Charlie M. Inzon, O.M.I., D.D., Archbishop of Cotabato; Bishop Edwin Angot de la Peña, D.D., Catholic Bishop-Prelate of Marawi; and Most Rev. Severo C. Caermare, D.D., Bishop of Dipolog.
The Gospel reading from Matthew 23:23–26 reminded the faithful that true devotion is shown through justice, mercy, faith, and a sincere heart. As the parish continues its novena, the celebration encouraged everyone to deepen their relationship with God and live out their faith through love and service.
