Feast Day of Sto. Niño de Panglao | GSK DAY
January 25, 2026

Señor Santo Niño is the oldest icon of Christianity in the Philippines and the celebration of its feast runs throughout the month of January in most towns and provinces in the country.

The town Panglao also celebrates the feast of Santo Niño every fourth Sunday of January, following the Sunday of the feast of the Señor Santo Niño de Cebu.

The Sto. Niño de Panglao is the second patron of the town and the patron saint of the Parish Youth Ministry-Panglao.

The celebration of Sto. Niño de Panglao starts with nine-day novena masses. A caravan procession took place on the highways of Panglao. On the feast day, the parish celebrates Holy Mass together with visiting priests, the Sto. Niño de Panglao Core Group, the faithful and devotees. The feast day is also the GSK or Gagmayng Simbahanong Katilingban Day. A Sinulog mass dance is offered in front of the Sto. Niño de Panglao image.

As we celebrate the feast of the Santo Niño, may we all embrace the childlike characteristics of the Batang Jesus, a simple, humble, sincere and steadfast.
