In preparation for Ash Wednesday, the faithful gathered for the Rite of Burning of Palms, led by Rev. Fr. Kristoffer Allan Soriano. The blessed ashes will be used for the imposition of ashes as we enter the season of Lent.

Our parish recently held the Katipunan: Stewardship in Good Citizenship Formation, a space for honest reflection on the realities our country faces today. At a time when corruption, injustice, and unresolved issues can lead to silence and indifference, the formation reminded us not to forget and not to remain silent.

Katipunan is a tipon—a coming together of people of faith who care for the nation. It emphasized that good citizenship is not centered on elections or personalities, but on integrity, accountability, and a deep love for both God and country. Participants were encouraged to stay mindful, involved, and responsible in responding to the challenges of our society.

As a parish community, we are called to unite faith and action and to take part in building a more just and compassionate society.

January 18 | 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗢 𝗡𝗜Ñ𝗢

The Feast of the Santo Niño is a major annual religious celebration in the Philippines, held every third Sunday of January in honor of the Holy Child Jesus. It is a celebration of faith that brings families and communities together in prayer, thanksgiving, and joy.

As we honor the Santo Niño, we are reminded to approach God with childlike faith rooted in trust, humility, and love. May Señor Santo Niño bless you and your loved ones with hope, healing, and peace.

January 11 | 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗗

Today the Church celebrates the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River by St. John the Baptist, when God revealed Him as His beloved Son. This feast also marks the conclusion of the Christmas season, closing the time of celebration with a call to live out our baptismal life as children of God.

Let us pray:
Lord God, You revealed Your Son as the Light of the world at His baptism in the Jordan. Renew in us the grace of our own baptism. Cleanse our hearts, strengthen our faith, and help us to live each day as true children of God. May our words and actions reflect Your love, so that others may come to know You through our lives.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

JANUARY 9 | 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗡𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢 𝗣𝗔𝗗𝗥𝗘 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦 𝗡𝗔𝗭𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗢

Today, we honor Jesús Nazareno, who carried the cross out of love and obedience to the Father. In His suffering, we are reminded that God does not leave us alone in our pain, but walks with us through every struggle. May this feast strengthen our faith and help us carry our own crosses with patience, trust, and hope in the Lord.

𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗔𝗭𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗘

Lord Jesus, You carried the cross with love and humility for our salvation. In Your suffering, we see Your mercy and faithfulness, and we are reminded that You are always with us in our struggles.

Forgive us, O Jesus Nazareno, and help us carry our own crosses with patience and trust. Guide our hearts to follow You in love and obedience, and lead us safely to Your heavenly kingdom. Amen.
