Church isnโt just a Sunday event. Itโs a family. ๐
And in a family, you give a heads up when youโre not coming home.
We inform our pastor/leaders not to ask โpermission,โ but because:
1. They care โ If youโre missing, their first thought is โAre you sick? Are you okay?โ
2. They can pray โ โHello po Pastor, dili mi ka apil karung sunday, naa mi emergency nga lakaw.โ Now you have a whole church covering you in prayer for safe travel.
3. They can help โ Sometimes we donโt show up because weโre hurt or offended. A quick text keeps the door open to talk it out before bitterness grows.
Hebrews 13:17 says leaders โkeep watch over your souls.โ
Let them.
