Within the Iglesia Ni Cristo, there are young brethren who, at one point in their lives, quietly carried the noble aspiration of entering the Holy Ministry. It was not a dream rooted in personal ambition, but a reverent response to the weight of responsibility and the sacredness of serving God and the Church.
In their youth, they once imagined a life fully offeredโstrength, time, and futureโwilling to submit to whatever calling God would appoint through His Administration. For some, however, the path they walked did not lead to the School for Ministers.
This reality does not diminish the sincerity of their desire, nor does it signify failure in faith. Rather, it reflects the truth that God, in His wisdom, appoints different roles for each servant according to His perfect will.
As Exodus 18:21 (NIV) reminds us: In the Church, faithfulness is not measured by title or office, but by obedience, humility, and steadfast devotion to the teachings of God.
Those who once hoped for the Ministry are reminded that the spirit of service need not fade with unfulfilled expectations.
Their dedication can continue to live on through active participation in the works of the Church, respect for the Church Administration, and a life consistently aligned with Godโs commandments. Though the form of service may have changed, the heart that longs to serve remains valuable in the eyes of God.
In the end, the greatest calling of every member is not to attain a position, but to remain faithful until the end. For in the Iglesia Ni Cristo, true service is proven not by where one stands, but by how firmly one remains obedient to Godโs will.
