𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 :
On August 24,2016, the two Sisters from the Diocese of Antipolo, Sor. Mary Regina Bernardine B. Delfin and Sor. Mary Catherine B
Delfin arrived at Roxas City, Capiz, to have a meeting with Bishop Jose F. Advincula JR. D. D., Archbishop of Capiz, to ask the Bishop to be their Bishop Protector. However, Bishop Advincula told them to join their community as Contemplative Sisters of Merciful Missionaries of St. Joseph (MMSJ) founded by him. After their conversation, Sor. Mary Regina Bernardine and Sor. Mary Catherine abide the suggestion of Bishop Advincula, because they have been discerning and praying for a contemplative life for a long time. Present was Rev. Fr. Pericles F. Fajardo, MMSJ (Supreme Moderator)
On October 22, 2017, Rev. Fr. Pericles F. Fajardo the Supreme Moderator announced that the MMSJ - Contemplative Sisters were finally accepted in the Archdiocese of Capiz.
On April 05, 2021, the Monastery was finally blessed by his Eminence Jose F. Cardinal Advincula Jr. D. D. with a profound message for the Community, " 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝" on that same date Cardinal Advincula advised Mother Mary Regina to have a name for the Community. Present was Rev. Fr. Pericles Fajardo, Supreme Moderator of MMSJ.
June 15, 2021, the Merciful Contemplative Nuns of St. Joseph (𝐌𝐂𝐍𝐒𝐉) was formally Adapted as the name of the Community by the First Mother Superior and the members of the Community. It was recognized as a Roman Catholic Private Association of the Faithful.
