𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘 | Today, we honor Saint Peter Chrysologus, Bishop of Ravenna and Doctor of the Church, known for his wisdom, eloquent preaching, and deep love for proclaiming the Gospel.
His name, Chrysologus, means “golden-worded,” a title given because of the beauty and power of his homilies. Through his inspiring teachings, he defended the faith and guided his people during a time when pagan beliefs were widespread. Declared a Doctor of the Church in 1729, his brief yet profound sermons continue to inspire Christians to listen to God’s Word and live it faithfully.
𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆, Saint Peter Chrysologus, faithful shepherd and teacher of the Church, pray for us. Help us to treasure the wisdom of God’s Word and to share our faith with courage, clarity, and love. May our words and actions reflect the truth of Christ and bring others closer to Him. Guide preachers, teachers, and all who proclaim the Gospel to speak with hearts filled with grace and devotion.
Saint Peter Chrysologus, pray for us!
