๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ | Today, we honor Saint Stephen of Hungary, first King of Hungary, faithful ruler, and devoted servant of Christ who led his people to the Christian faith.
Born in the tenth century, Saint Stephen was raised in a pagan environment but was baptized as a young boy together with his father. After becoming ruler of the Magyars, he dedicated his reign to spreading Christianity throughout Hungary and establishing the Church in his kingdom. With the support of the Pope, he strengthened the faith of his people and was crowned the first King of Hungary on Christmas Day in 1001. Through his wisdom, leadership, and devotion to God, Saint Stephen helped build a Christian nation and became a model of faith for rulers and all the faithful. He is honored as the patron saint of Hungary.
