THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE...
Seeking God for self-gain is a violation of biblical truth. The crowd correctly recognized Jesus as the Messiah but wrongly equated His Messiahship with the setting up of an earthly kingdom at that present time. They were fervent political activists who attempted to be king-makers for Israel. They wanted to use Him for their own ends. Their goals were temporal (not eternal) and materialistic, not God-centered. They evidently wanted to kidnap Him and force Him to go with them. We cannot come to Christ on our terms to have psychological or physical needs met, but we must come to Him on His terms.

What do we have that won't wear out, break, die, go out of style, or ever need repair? We can rejoice and give thanks, because our life and our future are tied to the Eternal Father, the creator of the heavens and maker of our world. Not only is God good; he is good to us. But more than just being good, he is loving and his love will not wear out, grow old, fade away, or need repair.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
"What a person does proves what they really believe" this verse indicates that if you really believe in Jesus, why are you prioritizing other people than Him? You like to be praised by other people and you care more about their opinions about you but you don't even give attention to God's approval. Look at yourself, ask and reflect
