Ezra understood that the Word of God was not simply something to be read—it was something to be lived. Before he could teach others, he first allowed God’s Word to teach and transform him. His life followed a simple but powerful pattern: study the Word, practice the Word, and share the Word.

We can have access to the Bible every day, but simply knowing what it says is not enough. The Word must move from our Bible to our hearts, from our hearts to our habits, and from our habits to our lives. When Scripture shapes the way we think, speak, decide, forgive, serve, and love, our lives become a living testimony of God's truth.

And once we have been shaped by the Word, we are called to be sent into the world. We are not shaped just for ourselves—we are shaped so that others may encounter Christ through us. Our words can point people to Him, but our lives should also make the Gospel visible.

Meaning

Paul encourages believers to put away attitudes and actions that harm relationships, such as bitterness, anger, harsh words, and malice. Instead, Christians are called to:

* Be kind to one another.
* Be tenderhearted and compassionate.
* Forgive others, just as God has forgiven us through Christ.

These verses remind us that a transformed life is shown not only by what we avoid but also by how we treat others—with love, mercy, and forgiveness.
