Today, the entire parish community of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace Parish unite in joyful thanksgiving as we celebrate the birthday of our beloved priest, Reverend Father Lou Jake M. Colarines! Today, we celebrate and give heartfelt thanks for the gift of the holy priesthoodโ€”for the men who answer Godโ€™s sacred call to guide, serve, and shepherd our communities. Priests bring us closer to Christ through the Sacraments, offering constant spiritual strength, comfort, and wisdom. As Saint John Vianney, the patron saint of all parish priests, beautifully wrote, "The priesthood is the love of the heart of Jesus." This day reminds us to appreciate the selflessness behind their daily devotion to our spiritual lives.

We hold our priests in prayer, asking God to grant them continued strength, wisdom, and joy in their ministry. May St. John Vianney intercede for them as they navigate their calling, protecting their hearts and renewing their zeal to serve. Today, we witness a beautiful milestone in our youth ministry as we welcome our new Aspirants, who are being clothed for the first time to serve at the sanctuary, and our dedicated Candidates for Renewal, who are reaffirming their sacred commitment to the Table of the Lord.

With renewed faith and deepened devotion, the Lilies of the Altar and Knights of the Altar successfully conducted their Renewal Seminar on May 16, 2026, held at Mary Mediatrix of All Grace Parish.

This sacred gathering was devoted to rekindling the zeal, commitment, and spiritual growth of every altar server entrusted with the noble ministry of serving at the Lordโ€™s altar. It served as a gentle reminder that true service is rooted in a faithful heart, one that responds to God with humility, love, and perseverance, in quiet dedication and sincere devotion.

The seminar was led by Seminarian Leighnard P. Sabalo, whose reflections encouraged the participants to remain steadfast in their calling, and to continue growing in faith as living witnesses of Christโ€™s presence in the Church.

May this moment of renewal continue to inspire every altar server to become faithful instruments of unity, service, and love within the Church and the wider community.
