The believer of Christ sides with the truth based on God’s words (not just feelings). The believer of Christ understands that what we human beings feel may be real but it doesn’t mean it is automatically right.
Telling the truth and standing up for the truth is different from being judgmental. We tell the truth & offer hope for others to side w/ truth. We don’t close the door for people to return to God and His ways. A judgmental person may tell the truth but doesn’t give hope. He points out others’ mistakes but ignores his own. A God- fearing person sides with the truth based on God’s words.
My personal take on the SEXUAL ORIENTATION and GENDER IDENTITY EXPRESSION (SOGIE) Equality bill:
1. SOGIE Bill is a lopsided & defective bill that runs counter to the “equal protection of rights” clause in our Constitution. It gives PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT to the LGBT Community at the expense of the rights of others in the Philippine society that comprise the MAJORITY of the taxpayers in the country.
2.SOGIE BILL is a Pandoras box that will be harmful especially to basic units of the society - the family, the women, the children, biblical marriage, the academic institutions and the right to conscience of the faith- based community and religious.
3.SOGIE Bill which is deceitfully disguised as a bill promoting equality actually promotes inequality in favor of the LGBT community. ANG ATING MGA MAMBABATAS (Senators and members of the House of Representatives) AY NANUMPANG IPAPAIRAL ANG PAGKAKAPANTAY- PANTAY NG MGA PILIPINO AT HINDI PAPABORAN ANG MANGILAN- NGILAN LANG.
4.SOGIE Bill is DISCRIMINATIVE. To
create an ANTI- DISCRIMINATION law with contents that will DISCRIMINATE others is in itself DISCRIMINATIVE and therefore becomes even more violative to BASIC, NORMAL, AND COMMON HUMAN RIGHTS. Is Philippines really for ALL FILIPINOS? Or is it only for the ENTITLED FEW?
5.SOGIE Bill will potentially usurp parental authority and right to guide their children on the issue of sexuality even at their young age. Hindi pwedeng basta maturuan ang anak na siya ay lalaki if lalaki siya o siya ay babae if babae siya. Hayaan daw ang bata ang mamili kung ano siya - kahit hindi ayon sa kaniyang natural na kasarian. This will create confusion and it will be violative disastrous to God’s ordained laws - moral and physical. Parents who violate this in the SOGIE bill, once it becomes a law, will be penalized. Ito ay panghihimasok sa sagradong tungkulin ng mga magulang upang gabayan ang mga anak sa matuwid na panuntunan ng Salita ng Diyos. This wil also trample one’s right to conscience among the faith- based community. We need to ask: Kailan pa naging mas matimbang ang kautusan mg tao sa kautusan ng Diyos?
6.SOGIE Bill will suppress equal freedom of expression and the RIGHT TO CONSCIENCE.
For a person to choose a lifestyle, including the LGBT lifestyle, is that person’s choice- whether He adheres to God’s commands or not, whether he/ she is aware or not that there will be a final day of accounting one day before our Creator (Romans 14:12). There’s no legal penalty in our laws that penalize them for choosing such lifestyle and airing such views (LGBT) publicly. But to impose (or even over impose) that belief (LGBT lifestyle) on others and even create a law (like the SOGIE bill) that threatens to penalize those who express a public view different from the LGBT view and potentially label it DISCRIMINATION with huge penalties is in itself DISCRIMINATIVE. Where is freedom of expression and speech then? Where is freedom of religion then? That is NOT EQUALITY.
Malaya ang mga LGBT group na mag involve in all strata and aspects of society in our country - showbiz, business, sports, academe, government positions. Hindi sila pinagbabawalan. Why give them PREFERENTIAL LAWS that will endanger at aapak sa karapatan ng nakakarami? Where is equal rights then which should be championed by lawmakers who were voted in the office by the people?
I join all GOD- LOVING AND NATION- LOVING FILIPINOS who appeal to our senators and congressmen na maging matapat sa kanilang sinumpaang tungkulin sa bayan na paglilingkuran ang kapakanan ng pangkalahatan at hindi lang ng mga mangilan- ngilan— MANINDIGAN SA TAMA AT MAKATUWIRAN.
