𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐑/𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐏

𝘑𝘶𝘭𝘺 12, 2026|| The Parish Youth Ministry of St. John the Baptist Parish, Pambujan, successfully conducted its Parish Youth Ministry Orientation Seminar/Workshop at St. John the Baptist Parish Church, bringing together young members from various ministries—including the Catechists, Altar Servers, PPYC, YFC, and SJBC—for a day of formation, fellowship, and renewed commitment to youth ministry.

The program began with the arrival and registration of participants, followed by the Opening Prayer led by Ms. Sarah Claire Longcop, Parish Youth Secretary. Mr. Lance Owen Siervo, Parish Youth Coordinator, delivered the Welcome Message, while Ms. Maria Lourdes Morales, Parish Youth Leader, presented the rationale of the seminar. A Getting to Know You (GTKY) activity followed, allowing participants from different ministries to build and find new bonds.

The seminar featured three formation talks. The first, "𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚," was delivered by Ms. Mariane Allysa Tepace. This was followed by the second talk, "𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚," presented by Ms. Maria Caren Irinco. The final session, "𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏," was facilitated by Mr. Hero Dianito, who encouraged the participants to actively live out their faith through service.

A Message of Support was also delivered by the Pastor Moderator, Rev. Fr. Tobias G. Irinco, who encouraged the youth to continue answering God's call to serve with faith, dedication, and love.

The seminar culminated in the celebration of the Holy Mass, uniting all participants in prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of youth ministry. The gathering served as a meaningful opportunity for the young people to deepen their faith, strengthen their commitment to the Church, and embrace their mission as active disciples of Christ.

Happy Pentecost Sunday

Today, the Church celebrates the glorious feast of Pentecost—the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles like tongues of fire and filled them with courage, wisdom, and zeal. Pentecost is often called the “Birthday of the Church” because it marks the moment when the Apostles boldly went forth to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the world.

Before Pentecost, the disciples were afraid, hiding behind locked doors after the death and resurrection of Jesus. But when the Holy Spirit came upon them, everything changed. Fear became courage. Doubt became faith. Silence became proclamation. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, ordinary men became fearless witnesses of Christ.

That same Holy Spirit continues to move in our lives today. He strengthens us when we are weak, comforts us in sorrow, guides us in confusion, and renews our hearts when we grow weary in faith. Pentecost reminds us that we are never alone because God Himself dwells within us.

As we wear red on this sacred feast, we remember the fire of the Holy Spirit—the fire of divine love that purifies, transforms, and sends us on mission. The world today needs people filled not with hatred, pride, and division, but with the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

May this Pentecost renew our hearts and awaken our souls once again. Let us open ourselves to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead us closer to Christ. May He set our hearts on fire with holiness and give us the courage to live our Catholic faith boldly and faithfully.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. 🔥
