Update from Mitzi of Boholunteers, Inc.:

ONE BOHOL with 69 volunteers has served the Brgys of San Vicente in Tolosa, Leyte holding psychosocial activities (one on one counseling, art therapy & a lot of singing & dancing), medical mission, food & hygiene kit distribution & mass feeding.
For Brgy. Burak, we gave food packs & hygiene kits & endorsed over the counter medicines as with Brgy. Cantawiris.

Four boxes of over the counter & prescription medicines also endorsed to The Municipality of Tolosa. Tolosa is one of the badly hit areas by Typhoon Yolanda. It is a coastal town less than an hour away from Tacloban.

We dropped by the Archdiocese of Palo Relief Command Center in Palo, Leyte to visit the Center & the volunteers who dedicated themselves to serving their fellow survivors inspite of their loss. To all those who tirelessly gave their all in the name of service & volunteerism. Mabuhay kayo! Ang bawat isa sa inyo ay pag-asa ng Pilipinas!

Yesterday, marks the end of the Roman Catholic Church calendar -- the Year of Faith. During the homily of Fr Oscar Florencio, Rector of St John the Evangelist Theological Seminary, he emphasized that the culmination of the Year of Faith doesn't mean we ended our faith. He challenges the faithful instead to express their "faith in action" in the midst of the great devastation super typhoon Yolanda had brought.

Procession of the Corpus Christi and Benediction followed right after the Eucharistic Celebration despite the threat of rain. It has been gloomy and raining since super typhoon Yolanda. But the dark clouds paved the way for the sun to shine right after the procession of the Corpus Christi. What a symbolic manifestation of Christ's presence! Hail, Christ the King!
