Humilty + Servanthood = True Greatness
Mark 10:43–45 “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant… For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
- It reflects Jesus’ heart: He didn’t seek status or power, but humbled Himself to wash feet, heal the broken, and die for sinners.
- It flips worldly values: In the world, greatness is often about being first. In the Kingdom, it’s about putting others first.
- It builds real influence: Servants earn trust, love, and respect—not through dominance, but through compassion and sacrifice.
- It’s the path to spiritual maturity: Humility isn’t weakness—it’s strength under control, guided by love.
So when you serve others—especially when it’s inconvenient, unnoticed, or sacrificial—you’re walking in the footsteps of Christ. That’s not just humility. That’s Kingdom greatness.
