July 19, 2026, the St. Michael the Archangel Parish joyfully celebrated its 5th Parish BEC Fiesta in Brgy. San Miguel, Palompon, Leyte. The highlight of the celebration was the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Fr. Danilo Zamora, Vicar Forane of the Vicariate of Palompon, together with Rev. Fr. Martin Cubi, BEC Priest In-charge, and Rev. Fr. Ramon Fian Jr. The liturgy was marked by vibrant participation from the parishioners, reflecting the spirit of unity and shared faith that BECs embody.
BEC Fiesta was more than a commemorationโit was a reaffirmation of the parishโs commitment to journey together as a community of faith. The presence of the clergy, led by Fr. Zamora, highlighted the importance of pastoral accompaniment in strengthening BECs.
His homily invited the faithful to see BECs not merely as structures but as living communities of disciples, rooted in Christ and sent forth to witness His love in everyday life.
This celebration reminds us that the vitality of the Church springs from the small communities where faith is shared, struggles are carried together, and mission is lived out in concrete acts of service.
The fiesta became a visible sign of hope: that in unity and simplicity, the parish can continue to grow as a synodal Church, faithful to its mission.
