𝗣𝗛𝗒𝗧𝗒 π—›π—œπ—šπ—›π—Ÿπ—œπ—šπ—›π—§π—¦ | KATITIROK HAN KABATAAN AND GOT TALENT CONTEST
(May 30, 2026)

Headed by this year's Hermanas Mayores of the Flores de Mayo devotionβ€”Florie Anne Mae Novillo, Assumptha Camille Novillo, Mary Danielle Novillo, and Juztine Dominique Novillo Aguillonβ€”alongside the Confraternity of the Virgen de los Flores, the Junior Collectors Ministry, SOCCOM, and the Healthcare Ministry, the culmination of the month-long devotion was a great success.

Different children showcased their talents in various forms, including gymnastics, dance, singing, and arts. This initiative aimed to bring the children out of their homes and detach them from their gadgets. Afterward, they devoured delicious snacks and received gifts, school supplies, and toys.

An awarding ceremony was also held for those with perfect attendance in the Flores de Mayo devotion, the most disciplined participants, and the winners of the weekly games.

We are deeply grateful for the support of our parish priestsβ€”Fr. Rodolfo P. Barro, Msgr. Gilbert Urbina, and Fr. John Andrew Avilaβ€”together with the seminarians, Frt. Arman, Bro. Rodney, and Bro. Calix, the parish staff and personnel, the sponsors, the parents of the contestants, and everyone who made this event a success.

The three-foot image of the Virgin Mary, Queen of Flowers, is placed on an altar adorned with flowers, standing majestically on a cloud base surrounded by angels. She possesses a calm, gentle expression with soft features, light brown wavy hair, and eyes cast slightly downward in a look of humility as she gazes toward her children. Standing straight and centered, she carefully holds a bouquet of fresh flowers in front of her. She wears a golden crown and an aureole with twelve stars, symbolizing her role as the queen of all.

Following the May Devotion, the image is housed at the Hermana's residence to continue the devotion. There, monthly or weekly prayers are conducted together with the members of the confraternity. Then, on May 1st, the image is fetched from the house and brought to the cathedral to commence the month-long devotion.

This is not merely an image, she is the center of the May devotion, a timeless tradition passed down through generations, and a beautiful reminder that our Queen never ceases to watch over her children.

In solemn remembrance and with deep gratitude, we lift our hearts in prayer for the Hermanos/Hermanas who have gone before us.

We honor the faith they carried, the paths they paved, and the enduring legacy of Brotherhood/Sisterhood they left behind. Though they have stepped out of this world, their spirit remains woven into the very fabric of our community.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

We pray that the Almighty grants them eternal joy in His heavenly presence, and that His comfort remains with the families and loved ones they left behind. They are gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Amen.

As we bid farewell to this special month dedicated to Mary, we do not say goodbye to her presence. Rather, we carry with us the lessons she teaches: humility, obedience, prayer, and unwavering trust in God. The flowers we offered may fade, and the celebrations may conclude, but the devotion planted in our hearts must continue to bloom every day.

May our Blessed Mother always remember us, protect our families, and guide our steps toward Christ. And may we, in return, never forget to call upon her loving intercession.

Adios, amon Iroy, but not farewell. Continue to watch over us, your children, and lead us always closer to Jesus.
