TODAY IS THE FEAST OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE ETERNAL HIGH PRIEST!

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal High Priest, honoring as the perfect and eternal priest who offered Himself for the salvation of humanity.

This feast reminds us that Christ continually intercedes for us before the Father and remains the source of all priesthood and the Holy Eucharist. May we pray for all priests, that they may faithfully reflect the love, holiness, and service of Christ the Eternal High Priest.

"My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death." - Matthew 26:38

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus felt very sad and afraid before His suffering. Even when His heart was full of sorrow, He still trusted the Father and chose to obey Him with love. Jesus understands our sadness and stays close to us when we are hurting too. Let’s trust Jesus and pray to Him whenever we feel sad or afraid.

"But to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give but is for those whom it has been prepared." - Mark 10:40

Jesus taught His disciples that places of honor in God’s kingdom are not earned by pride or selfishness. God looks at humble and loving hearts that serve others faithfully. Jesus wants us to follow Him with kindness, patience, and trust in God’s plan. Let’s choose humility and love every day!

"But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first." - Mark 10:31

Jesus teaches us that being important in God’s kingdom is not about being first, richest, or most powerful. The people who humbly love, serve, and help others are very special to God. Jesus wants us to have kind and humble hearts. Let’s follow Jesus by serving others with love and joy!

"I thirst." - John 19:28

While Jesus was suffering on the cross, He said, “I thirst.” Jesus was thirsty not only for water, but also for our love and for everyone to come close to God. Even in pain, Jesus showed how much He loves us. Let’s answer Jesus’ love by loving Him and others every day!

The Holy Spirit never comes without grace and purpose. He fills our hearts with gifts that guide, strengthen, and renew our journey of faith.

These seven gifts of the Holy Spirit help us grow closer to God and become faithful followers of Christ in our daily lives.

The 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit:

1. Wisdom – helps us value the things of God above all else.

2. Understanding – deepens our faith and opens our hearts to God’s truth.

3.Counsel – guides us to make good and loving decisions.

4. Fortitude – gives us courage and strength during struggles and trials.

5. Knowledge – helps us recognize God’s presence and purpose in our lives.

6. Piety – teaches us to love God sincerely and care for others with compassion.

7. Fear of the Lord – inspires reverence, trust, and a desire to remain close to God.

When we welcome these gifts into our hearts, the Holy Spirit transforms us and leads us to live as true disciples of Christ.

Come, Holy Spirit, renew us with Your love and lead us always on the path of holiness.

TODAY IS PENTECOST SUNDAY!

Pentecost Sunday is one of the greatest feasts of the Church, celebrated 50 days after Easter and 10 days after the Ascension of the Lord. On this sacred day, the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary in the form of strong wind and tongues of fire.
Pentecost is considered the “Birthday of the Church” because it was the moment when the apostles were filled with courage and began proclaiming the Gospel to all nations. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the mission of the Church began and continues until today.

"Receive the Holy Spirit." - John 20:22

After Jesus rose from the dead, He breathed on His disciples and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” The Holy Spirit is God’s gift who helps us pray, choose what is right, and become brave followers of Jesus. We are never alone because the Holy Spirit is always with us. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to guide us every day!

Have you ever felt scared and wanted to stay in a safe place?
What makes you feel calm and peaceful when you are afraid?
Today’s Gospel, tells us about Jesus bringing peace, courage, and a mission to His disciples.

𝐈. 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒
𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐𝟎:𝟏𝟗-𝟐𝟑
On the evening of that first day of the week,
when the doors were locked, where the disciples were,
for fear of the Jews,
Jesus came and stood in their midst
and said to them, "Peace be with you."
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side.
The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,
"Receive the Holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,
and whose sins you retain are retained."

𝐈𝐈. 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐂𝐇
Sometimes we feel scared, worried, or unsure—just like the disciples. We may want to hide or stay quiet. But God never leaves us alone. He comes close to us and gives us peace.

The Holy Spirit is God’s gift to us. The Holy Spirit helps us be brave, choose what is right, and love others even when it is hard. When we feel scared or confused, we can pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help us.

God also teaches us to forgive. In the Church, we receive forgiveness in Confession. No matter what mistakes we make, God is always ready to forgive us and give us a new start.

We also have a mission. We are sent to share God’s love by being kind, helping others, telling the truth, and forgiving people who hurt us.

𝐈𝐈𝐈. 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐌𝐘 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘
If Jesus is sending you today, what is one brave and loving thing you can do this week to bring peace to someone else? Jesus is waiting for your answer because He knows you can do something.

𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑
Dear Jesus, please fill my heart with your peace and send your Holy Spirit to guide me.
Help me to be brave, to forgive others, and to share your love every day. Amen.

Dear friends, that is all for today! I hope you learned something!
Go and make God known and loved!
See you again next time! Bye bye!!!

"You follow me." - John 21:22

After His Resurrection, Jesus told Peter, “You follow me.” Jesus also invites each one of us to follow Him every day—by praying, being kind, helping others, and trusting Him. Following Jesus leads us closer to God and fills our hearts with peace. Let’s follow Jesus with joyful hearts!
