Saint Candida was an early Christian virgin and martyr who is remembered by the Church on October 3. She was associated with the Christian community in Rome and was buried along the Via Portuense.

According to tradition, Candida gave Christian burial to the martyr Pimenio and was later condemned to martyrdom because of her faith and her act of charity. Her life remains a witness to courage and devotion during the early centuries of Christianity.

Saint Candida reminds us that faith is not only expressed through words but also through acts of courage, charity, and love. May her example inspire us to remain faithful to Christ even when doing what is right becomes difficult.

The Church celebrates the Holy Guardian Angels, whom God gives to guide and protect His people. Their presence reminds us that God's care accompanies us throughout our lives.

In the Gospel, Jesus teaches that the angels of God's little ones always behold the face of the heavenly Father. This reveals the dignity of every person and the loving care God has for each of His children.

The Guardian Angels remind us to trust in God's protection and to remain attentive to His guidance. May we also become instruments of God's care by helping and protecting those around us.

Saint Thรฉrรจse of the Child Jesus was a French Carmelite nun who lived a simple and hidden life of prayer. Despite being young, she developed a deep love for God and desired to offer every small act of her life to Him.

She became known for her โ€œLittle Way,โ€ teaching that holiness can be found by doing small things with great love and complete trust in God. Her simple spirituality touched the hearts of many people throughout the Church.

Saint Thรฉrรจse was declared a Doctor of the Church because of the depth and importance of her spiritual teaching. May her example remind us that even the smallest acts of love can bring us closer to God.

The Campus Youth Ministry extends its prayers and greetings to those sections who celebrated the feast day of their section last September. They are Gr. 12 โ€“ St. Augustine, (August 28) Gr. 8 โ€“ St. Cyprian, Gr. 10 โ€“ St. John Chrysostom and Gr. 7 โ€“ St. Januarius.

Saint Jerome was born around the year 347 and became one of the greatest biblical scholars of the early Church. He was ordained a priest and devoted much of his life to studying Sacred Scripture.

Jerome is especially remembered for his work translating the Bible into Latin. His translation, known as the Vulgate, became an important biblical text for the Western Church for many centuries.

A man of intense study and prayer, Saint Jerome believed that knowing Sacred Scripture was essential to knowing Christ. His dedication to God's Word continues to inspire Christians to read, study, and meditate on the Bible.

May Saint Jerome inspire us to seek wisdom through Sacred Scripture and to deepen our knowledge and love of Christ.
